    Hi!,
I am having a similar issue.
It all started with a call from airtel customer care ( in March 2009) , that offered me ebill services. To which i had very clearly said "NO", and remain firmed on my stand, of getting the paper bills.
Inspite of this, the Airtel customer care, without my consent, are continously sending me bills through mail and not paper bills. Because of this, i have to take half day leave from my office, to submit the payment, to the Airtel center, which is very far away.
On contacting the Airtel customer care, every month, they say, that you must turn ON, the option of getting the paper bill.
When i searched through the website, i noticed there was an option of turning ON , but it never works.
I have lanched my complaints many times, but they every time ask me to turn the option on. Please help me out of this.

    ( The complaint number i launched in july 2009 is : 21997064 )

    Thanks.

The website doesnot retain, the user's choice to get the type of bill. Hence there is no way, to prove, what option has been chosen by the customer.

    Dear Mr. Vishwas,

First of all, send your written complaint to the nodal officer and the nodal officer will have to provide you solution within 10 working days. You can find the contact details of Nodal officer from the Website of the concerned Co.

I have made many complaints on phone from their 121 customer care number. They provide the complaint number as the proof. ( The complaint number was 21997064 ) . There customer care don't support email facility, and hence there is no document proof of my complaints.

Btw, I made an another attempt today, and much to my despair, they don't agree to the fact that their website page doesnot recieve my request of opting for "paper bills" . They are not accepting any type of complaint.
I just don't understand what to do about it ?

    Hi,

I would like to suggest something for this.
I was also using Airtel from last 2 yrs And now using Vodafone from last 9 months.
I was also getting this hard copy of bill but many times due to the postal dept or some or the other reasons the hard copy got missing and I had to go to the Airtel office for the bill details.
Then they suggested that If I opt for this Soft copy on my email then the bill can never get missed and I would have a lot of time to pay the bill.
Simple reason for this is the Ebill reaches you the day it gets generated or the next day but the Hard copy reaches you in a span of 1 week or more and sometimes due to any prob it doesnot reach you and you cannot blame anyone for that.

Second thing, In hard copy anyone can see your Bill details and can check your private nos to which you have called but in ebill it comes with a password protection and thus no one other than you can see the details of your bill.

Third Most important thing is nowadays to save the environment and trees every company insist on giving the ebill or estatement to the customer.

But also if the customer requires the hard copy of any statement then they take the request and can provide you the Hard copy for that particular month at your communication address.

So getting an Ebill/Estatement is for your convinience.
And for Bill payment also you have lots of options.
They have a Cheque drop box everywhere even in most of the offices, then they have online bill pay facility, They have many Bill payment centres nearby every locality, And if you are not able to go to that places they can send thr representatives also to collect the bill payment and gives you a hard receipt that for proof that you have paid the bill.

This is all for your Information.
Don't take anything in offence, But Just complaining for everything does not solve the Problems.

    Thanks & Regards
