I recently purchased the Reliance NetConnect Broadband+ device. I was promised a monthly rental of 1700 for the device and 400 per month (2 GB) under a corporate plan. The device was sold to me at the rate promised. After a month when I received my first bill, I was charged at a monthly rental of Rs.550 for 2 GB.
Apart from the above, the speed of the ISP is pathetic. It disconnects intermittently. When I called up Technical Support to seek assistance, they asked me to run a speed test. On running the test, I was getting a speed of around 71kbps which is extremely low. When asked for a resolution, the representative mentioned that he cannot do anything in this regard and I have to stay with this. This is ridiculous. Moreover, when asked to return the refund for the 1700 paid for the device which is useless, they are not ready to do so. They are saying that we can terminate the connection and cannot pay the refund.
I have hardly used this device for 15 days for which I have been sent a bill amount for Rs.650. I have mentioned them clearly that they can deduct this amount from the Rs.1700 paid for the device and return the balance money, however they dont agree to do so. This is cheating the customer.
Moreover, people at Reliance support are not bothered to return the call to the customer and understand the problem. I have escalated this issue several times at Reliance and have not received any call from their side to resolve the problem.
Kindly look into this and assist me on how I could get a refund.
