Indian telecom Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Friday directed telecom service providers to submit interconnect agreements to ensure compliance with the guidelines set up by the regulator and Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

Interconnect agreements are bilateral agreements between telecom service providers for ensuring better access, quality of service and roaming.

A large number of interconnect agreements are filed with the TRAI from time to time.

Service providers have to file with the TRAI two copies of the agreements to which they are parties within 30 days of signing, said a statement.
