I had booked Tikona Internet in Jan 2010. The sales person filled up my form and took a Rs 500 cheque without giving me a demo. He promised me that the cheque will only be deposited after successful completion of installation. When the installation engineer came to install the modem, he said that there was no network in my area and that an installation was not possible. Before I could stop payment for the cheque, it was already deposited and cleared. Now I have been following up with the customer care and the Mumbai Nodal Officer for Tikona but they seem least bothered. Moreover, I am receiving bills from Tikona for rent of the modem they never provided me.
Tikona is the worst internet provider. They work with least professionalism. It is taking them 7 months to refund 500 Rs. which did not even belong to them.
If anyone ever plans to use Tikona, please make sure you take a full demo. Their sales people are commission paid and will lie to the highest limit.

I am complaining about Tikona Wireless Broadband Services, which provides Broadband Service.
I am using Tikona for more than a year now, the package/plan i use is 599 Unlimited.
But since 1st August 2010 i am not at all satisfied with the Service and the mishandling of Call Requests made on Customer Care. After continuous followup, you might get response from their end like, "We have registered your complaint and the same has been forwarded to the concerned department". There is no Engineer to visit from their end, Even engineers tell me that there is no use visiting your home as the problem is from Access Point installed in nearby area. There is no time for Breakage of network, Here you have logged in the Tikona Broadband and the moment you start surfing for net it goes off, the network will broke. Now-a-days i have to log in every 30-40 minutes, this is such a headache and mental disturbance yaar.
It took more than 2 months just for application of Change of Address, and for followup more than 2 weeks. The Engineer declined to come to my new address for visiting and checking the problem i am facing as according to him i have not changed my residence address, so he will not come to my new place.
Whenever i raise a complaint on Customer Care, they say i will be getting an SMS regarding the Request i have raised, but there is no single sign of SMS for the complaint, but i receive more than 5-6 SMS's on the same day and that too within 10 mins for payment of Bill on due date, WHY?
They dont have any adequate solution for this. everytime i call them they say there is some upgradation is going in the nearby Accesspoint installed.
One of my friend in the same building where i stay, has the same problem though he has subscribed Tikona for more than 4 Months, and he is also facing the same problem.
In every next bill the amount goes on increasing compared to last months bill.
My First bill for Broadband service was Rs. 610/- and the now the same has reached to Rs. 670/-.
This is quiet embarassing.
So for me Tikona is = Thumbs down
This is fair request to all you guys that dont ever ever ever go for TIKONA Broadband Service, and if you go for it, then be ready to face the consequences like mental disturbance and Headache regularly..
