I am currently using Tikona broadband internet, mainly based in Mumbai.
At the time of connection they promised me to give unlimited service @ speed of 300 KBPS @ Rs. 599/monthly. I started using this service from Feb 18th, 2010. But from the first week it started troubling me, I never got promised speed and connection. It got disconnected several times in a day.
I registered complaints about this issue several times during the first month of the connection. Every time I only got fake promises. I normally use internet for share trading and other financial transaction which required uninterrupted connection. Due to this inconvenience I was unable to continue my transactions which led me to loss of few hundreds. To continue my trading and transactions I was forced to go to syber cafes for which I also spent some more money.
At last I decided to discontinue the current internet service and on 10th March, 2010 I register one more complain regarding disconnection of the service but now they are forcing me to pay the bill whether I got the promised service or not. They also charged me Rs.500 at the time of installation.
At the time of installation I noticed the connection issue but their installation engineer told me that the problem will be fixed within few hours. But the problem is still not fixed.
It means they knew that the service will not work properly in my place, but to only increase their sale count they have cheated me. Which cost me loss in my share trading and mental harassment.
Kindly help me in this case.
