I am Justin John. I had applied for Tikona Broadband on 22/01/2010 giving a cheque of amount Rs. 500/- to Mr. Mahendra. His mobile number is +919594155537. I had selected the plan for Rs. 299/- per month. He had said that no machine charges will be taken and that my bill amount would be Rs. 500(the check I had paid) + 299 + taxes. My application no. is 50000001442995.
I got the router on 23/01/2010. The technician who installed it was Mr. Nitin. His mobile no. is +91983388873. It was working well for 2 days and from 25/01/2010 it stopped working and after repeated complaints to the customer care, Mahender and Nitin, no one had come and they hadn’t even called back and even stopped picking up my calls.
On 30/01/2010 a technician, Mr. Rahul Patil came to my house to check the signal. His mobile no. is +919270489398. He connected the antenna and said that there was no signal and it might not work with any other router also. I told him to disconnect it as I was very pissed off with the service by the company TIKONA. He connected me to Mr. Niraj, mobile no. +919920771151. And I told him to disconnect it and give me back my cheque. He promised to do so.
This bloody Rahul patil gave me a dirty form to fill the reason for disconnection and gave me a dirty piece of paper with no signature, no number and no stamp on it and calls it a receipt. I made him sign a paper saying that he received the router and would return my money as soon as possible. He took the router and left and till now my money has not been returned.
On 4-02-2010 I received an sms telling me to pay an amount of Rs. 943.53/-. I contacted this bloddy Niraj and he told me not to pay the bill as I had used the internet for only 2 days. Later I called the customer care and they say that they never received the information that I had disconnected their broadband. He said that he would pass the information.
After a few days your billing department called me asking for the payment. I told them that I had disconnected the broadband on 30/01/2010 and to return my money fast. Even that lady also said that she did not receive this information of my disconnection. She told me to complain to Tikona Care.
On 9/02/2010 Rs. 500/- was taken out of my account by the company. I called the customer care and informed them. None of them have any information and give silly reason that they don’t know the address of the Mira Road branch or the main branch and so cannot pass any information to anybody. And Rahul Patil said that they do not have a Mira Road branch. I found out that he was lying.
Please help me get my money back and need compensation for the mental harassment I had.
