    Default Vehivle Insurance Claim

    Dear Sir,
    The applicant is an owner of a Maruti Swift Petrol Car bearing Reg No. MH03 AW 5833 and has the car insured with Bajaj Allianz Insurance company. After falling into an accident on the 21st Dec 2011. I had informed the Insurance company about the same and had requested the Insurance company to appoint a surveyor to inspect the vehicle at the Maruti Dealership M/s. Vitesse Pvt. Ltd, Lower Parel Mumbai, as the vehicle was brought their by towing being not in a condition to be driven. After the survey of the vehicle was done and upon the demand of an estimate for the damages the same was raised and the repairs were then executed. Claim No. OC-12-1901-1801-00022294 was then processed and approved for Rs. 27259.00 being an amount of insurance claim approved out of our demanded estimate cost. Sir, Now upon the completion of the repairs to the exteriors I have been informed by the Maruti Service engineers at M/s. Vitesse Pvt. Ltd, Lower Parel Mumbai, that there seems to be damage to the engine as well. A high rise in the Engine temperature was noticed during the trials of the vehicle at the service point and the engineers believe that this defect has occurred due to the accident but the damage could not be noticed as the vehicle was not in a running condition at the time of the survey by the insurance surveyor .. A revised estimate by the engineers for the necessary repairs was again given to the surveyor who has totally denied of processing the same any further as he says that he already has sanctioned the insurance amount out of the first estimate and now a fresh estimate for further noticed damages cannot be entertained, He is well aware of the fact that the vehicle is still lying with the M/s. Vitesse Pvt. Ltd, Lower Parel Mumbai, since the day of the first inspection by the surveyor and cannot be collected till the necessary and required work is done. The car has just done about 4000 Kms from the date of showroom purchase and hence is not an old vehicle that could have required engine repairs. I request you to kindly look into the matter personally at the earliest and arrange instruct the insurance company to arrange for a surveyor to reinspect and further allow the repairs required in the vehicle still lying with the M/s. Vitesse Pvt. Ltd, Lower Parel Mumbai, and get the problem resolved ASAP, so that the needful can be done.
