I have a Policy of ICICI Life Insurance.
This Policy was bought in the February 2008. Premium of
rupees 50,000 for three consecutive years. After the policy was
matured, I get a call from the ICICI office, New Delhi seeking my
opinion as to whether I wish to continue or I wish to withdraw the
money, to which I responded that I wished to withdraw the money. The
concerned person told me that in order to withdraw the money, I had to
issue two cheque of rupees 20,000 each, which was given to an ICICI official. This was said that it was for
security purposes and it would be refunded with the original policy
matured amount. I issued two cheques.
Instead of refunding the total amount along with the security amount
of 40,000. The ICICI personals issued me two new policies of 20,000
each. I tried to contact the person a lot of times but the reply was
not satisfactory. The ICICI representative misbehaved and when asked
to refund the money, there was no reply from his side.
