I agree totally as metlife have cheated me too.Infact all these insurance companies are cheats and out to eat up your money.Not a single one that is honest in its dealings.
Their lock in period is 3 yrs and the surrender charge is too much 70% in 4th year and 60%in 5 yr and so on.Thus there is never a chance to get money specially if your premium is market linked.How they use your money is a mystery to me since they never send you statements of accounts and when you tell them to do so you realise you are always in the red even when the market is high and doing well.Their administrative and other charges are so high that they make sure they are making money off you.
never ever put money into these things but rather go in for f/d or some safer instruments where you can get atleast some returns.
