Dear Sir, Here is a major complaint of exploitation done by the management of fortis Vivekanand Hospital, Kanth Road, Moradabad. Due to the false assurances given by Dr. Somesh Mittal time and again. I am now under major financial loss of 6 lacs which is very-very high for a struggling girl of 23 years because ill this money was earned with dead honesty and sweat of the brow. Since the management has now forced me to leave the premises and my complaints are falling on deaf ears, I request at least one authority to stand for justice against exploitation of vendors by the most renowned name in Healthcare Sector.

EXPLOITATION

1. After takeover of Vivekanand by fortis, I first met Dr. Somesh Mittal (Director) in first week of January 2011. and told him that the canteen rent charged to me@15,000 p.m is to high and unafforadable when there are hardly 20 poor patients admitted. I also told him that since sept 2010 I have been enduring it only to work with the name ‘Fortis’ to which he asked me to give him a fresh proposal and ASSURED to start patient food by 15^th Feb and bring down Rent charges.
2. When is Feb I approached sir he told me that as soon as he changes the security staff. he will start patient food and told me that my proposal has been forwarded.
3. In March, After Holi when I approached him, he told me that the no. of patients is picking up and asked me to wait for some more time I asked him to bring down the rent, then he assured me he will do it, but it willl take some time.
4. By April I again approached him, but he told me to bring a fresh proposal again as he had LOST my previous proposal.
5. By april I again submitted the proposal to which he said he is thinking upon. I had been paying rent from my pocket so I asked him but he AGAIN ASSURED...........................
6. He kept on giving me date after date till on 27^th or 28^th May when he gives me a shocking news to increase the rent from 15,000-25,000 p.m. and asked for 75,000/- security otherwise he would give the canteens to someone else.

Also ASSURED me to start patient food at the rate of 200/- per day per patient within 15-20 days and he left for Delhi.

1. I agreed to it, but I asked 7 days time to deposit the amount of One Lakh but my request was denied flat and I was given only one day time to deposit the money for which I had to mortgage my gold ornaments which are still lying with the goldsmith.
2. They gave me LOI after few days of receiving the payment and assured me to start patient food within 15-20 days again. And after discussion my proposal was agreed upon 200/- per patient per day for 8 meals.
3. After my continuous force, Dr. Somesh Mittal called on 15^th July and asked us to arrange labour & start from 15 Aug.
4. I got my labour arranged from Metro, Rajiv Gandhi, Anand & Footis costing me 32,000 p.m. He took the interview of labour and was satisfied. He again delayed the date from15 Aug and asked me to buy utensils and make other capital investment and arrange stock but 15^th Aug passed as other dates.
5. He had been continuously fetching 25,000 p.m. Which I was unable to pay so I asked him for a final date to which he said “I want to see whether you can provide I meals on time to my patients, so give a 7 days trial”.
6. It had already been discussed that I will claim my bill to the hospital contrary to which he asked me to collect it from patients.

Humiliating it was, but I agreed for the sake of my investment. After 3 days of trial when he judged that my services were commendable and were appreciated, he bought down rates from 200/- to 80/-, a loss of 120/- per patient per day. I agreed to this also, he gave me a list of 8-9 mandatory document on Friday and I agreed to arrange it. 13. Since Monday they started asking me to submit all documents, despite knowing that it is a time taking process and asked finance Manager to give us 3 days ultimatum. In the mean time he fired my head cook without even informing me and denied his entry, but called him after I left. There were 3 documents which were not necessary for us, as per Indian Govt. laws, but they wanted it. By now, I had already paid around 80,000 to my labour, I called on his commitment. 14.Now when I asked him how do I give you there times meals, hygiene, presentation, quality and all taxes- Sales Tax, TDS, ESIC, PF, he replies, ” I wont lower down your rent or increase a single rupee, both are freezed rest is upto you...., you want to work or not” I said” I quit but I want loss & cost of exploitation back” the said “You have no proof as I have not given you anything in written, Aur tum kya kar logi, jo karna hai kar lo, police ko inform kar do, mera koi kuch nai kar sakta” Then after the other day, he put his lock in my canteen without information to me. Sir, I don’t know who to contact. I don’t want to loose my faith in law and order. justice, honesty and my SELF CONFIDENCE.
When I wrote this an application to receive my security, Finance Manager Denies to accept it and asks me to write that I have no grievances against forties and leaving out of my sweet will.
