Respected Sir,

My sister got hospitalized at Fortis Hospital, NIT , Faridabad on 25th August 2011 due to a minor accident at our home where she fall from the stair case when she was getting down. She was advised by the Senior Doctor of Orthopedics that she has to gone through a surgery at her right elbow which will require some plates to be put in as her elbow bone was displaced.

Following his advise we went to the patient Councillor where the lady gave me the full expenses details about the surgery cost & the plates which will be
placed at the elbow .The total amount given was around Rs.83,000 with the miscellaneous expenses of Rs. 6000.In that form they mentioned that the plates they will be using would be of Rs.40,000. As every person look after his budget , so we got ready to go with it.

surgery happened & when the tome approaches for payment they give me the whooping bill of Rs.1,13,000 which I never expected.

They increase the cost of the plates used in surgery to Rs.72,000 from
Rs.40,000 which was not acceptable at all.

And they never told us all this before hand . We faced harassment at the cost of shelling our much more than we expected from our pocket.

I want you to look into the matter & guide me for further actions , as I don't want that any person should not go through the agony & pain which we faced . Even I went to the Senior Administrator , but he refuse to lend ear to my plight,.

Understand , If any person will go to some hospital for any surgery first he will enquire about the cost , than only he will think about the treatment if it is under his budget or not.As every person is not rich .

I hope you will understand my situation & will guide me further , as I want to recover my extra cost which they take from me . It is a hard money & i don't want it to let it go like this.
