Hello Sir/Madam,

I encountered a similar issue in one of the hospital. They refused to provide Hospital bills from the registered bill book and they just gave mentioning all the amount it in a piece of paper. They are doing this in order to hide their income from the Incometax calculation. The discharge summary also not proper (it is also in a piece of paper).

My insurance company wants the bills from the registered bill books only for claim.

Please let me know how to proceed further on this.

I have admitted my wife was suffering from fever and Low B.P on Sunday, 23rd May 2010. I took her to GreenView Hospital, Koramangala 1st Block, Bangalore. The duty doctor examined her and suggested to admit her as she had low B.P on that time. We admitted her and without any intimation they took her to X-Ray room and took X-Ray (I didn't know why it was required), In the mid night another doctor (Dr. Karunesh) called me and said that cell platelets count is less in her blood (Here I got to know that they even did blood tests, without intimating ) and as B.P also low he suggested to shift her to ICU. I was afraid with his words and I accepted for that. He asked me get 4 units of cell platelets and 4 units of FPP(I didn't remember exact name) and I brought 7 units of them from other hospital by paying Rs. 700/- per unit. They shifted her to ICU and they transmitted those 7 units and started giving medicine to rise the B.P level. He said that they are suspecting of Dengue fever and after getting reports morning they said that it is border line. And next day again after some tests he said that she got malaria. Third day morning they took her to Ultra sound scan, I questioned the Nursing staff that why they are doing that. After asking the doctor they cancelled this test. Here I need to mention one more point when I was admitting my wife they asked whether I have any insurance. And I said there is a insurance from TATA-AIG(Which is not covering these kind of expenditure).

After everything on our force they discharged my wife after 3days though she was fine on 24th May itself. And when they discharged I saw the bill, there were lot of payments which were not explained or shown in charts .
Ex: 1). Rs. 3500/- (500/- per unit of blood transulation though I bought it from other hospital)
2). Rs. 1500/- Emergency care, though she was shifted to ICU. (In chart they mentioned how they charge for ICU, but this was not there in that).
3). Rs. 3500/- for Dr. Karunesh and Rs. 1450/- for Duty doctor (which was not mentioned)
4). Rs. 9000/- above for Formacy. There I can definitely say that they didn't used all these medicines.
5). Rs. 6700/- for medical investigation. Many tests (mostly unrequired) they did without my any intimation.
Overall the bill was Rs. 37506/- apart from the Rs. 4900/-(I spent on 7 unit of blood to buy from another hospital.)

It seems that these people don't have any Humanity and they wont care anybody. As I am software engineer I was able bare this money. But think about normal people who visit this hospital in emergency. If they wont intimate about charges in prior and at last if they ask this much big amounts how people can get it.

I would like to put a case on them in consumer forum as I have good evidences with me.
Please suggest me with your valuable opinions.

Sir I am balraj singh doing gov job in Indian ARMY as a medical assistant from 6 yrs. My age 25 yrs and my wife age 24 yrs. Before 2 yrs my wife was pregnant so on 25 june 2008 labour pain starts in evening we go to a hospital near our village.Doctor see the condition and starts inj Oxytosin in iv fluid bottle and go to his home,after 2 hours dr come and starts second oxytosin inj and told that normal delivery takes palace in 1 hour.but no delivery takes palace till 2 am in morning then we call the doctor ,the head of child comes in birth canal and go back inside mainy times during the process,then I ask the doctor to refer to a new hospital for cesirian delivery many times but every time he told that no problem delivery takes palace normally.then he starts 3rd inj oxytosin in iv bottle at 4am in morning and make a cut in vagina by a surgical blade ,the condition of my wife becomes very serious, in morning a boy doing the job of medical assistant there in hospital ask me that if u donot have any problem I can try for delivery then he go to labour room he press abdomen from upperside as he press abdomen the child comes outside from vagina, but as I see the child, body of child is blue mainly fingers etc then doctor press the baby chest with his thumb mainy times.child do not start crying after birth I ask about this ,doctor tell that no problem baby is normal, at 7.45 am in morning child starts crying(Delivery takes place at 5.30 am in morning).All night doctor do not moniter for any signs and stmptoms of fetous and mother and told us that both r normal. In morning at 9.30 am we give fees to the doctor(7000 rs)after taking fee doctor tell us that go to a paeditrician child have some problem, then immediately we go to a paeditrician in civil hospital he see the condition of child and tell that go to a big hospital immediately child is suffering from less oxygen supply and have seizures then we go to delhi ,there doctor shifts the child to a machine and starts oxygen. The child discharge from there after 17 days after that we go to many doctor (neuropadetrician) but every doctor tell that due to less oxygen supply brain of child becomes dead and there is no treatment for this.Now my child is of nearly 2 yrs but he can not perform any activities like sitting,walking,drinking milk and can not hold his neck till now.Now the child depends on others for his every activity for whole life.i want to file a case against the doctor but doctor told that he has no malpractice in this case. So please help me sir what I do now and where I go because brain of my child get permanent damaged due to negligancy of doctor

Hi,
I have undergone treatment as a out patient in one of the private hospital (Vijaya Health care,secunderaba) in hyderabad. Now, when i ask him provide a letter of the treatment which is very much needed to claim my bills,he is so rude and telling to meet a clerk. Clerk is delaying by saying come tomorrow it happend twice. It is awful and I dont understand how to proceed ( I know doctor register number). It would be great if some body suggest me ASAP.

My frd last ngt fall from her scooter and got hurt and was admited to byculla railway hospital as her husband is in railways her name is Mrs naidu

i went to c her today morning around 1.30 2 as she was family frd and use to viset our house when i went there there was no docter or nurse on the floor and when i reach there Mrs naidu told me she hav very much pain suddenly in her legs and ask me to call the nurse who was siting in her cabin in womans special ward no 13 i told nurse pls check mrs naidu as she is not feeling good and suddenly feeling pain in her legs she said i have Gaven her medicine in the morning u go and ask her she had i said she had everything she just feeling pain its better u c and check with her whats the problem

she gave me answer very harsly no not now when i want i ll go and check so i said you r nurse and if patience having problem its ur duty to check and the worst part was she was busy reading novel in the working hours and was not ready to get up frm her chair

i want to raise my voice against this as we dnt act in such things then nothing gonna imporved in india and this corruption will go on i can understd v cant compare the railway and government hospitals with private but then if the floor nurse dnt attend patient in hospital and busy reading novels what to say

My father admitted into one hospital, they have not given proper discharge summary. Just they have put Investigation Rs 25000. why they have not written proper discharge summary and shud write what treatment they have done. Due to this my inusrance claim has rejected. Kindly suggest how to procced on this. Will lose claim amount. Can you tell me what should i do in this

hi this raju taking treatment in the railway hospital byculla dr ambedkar hospital . As i am the patient of dvt i have certain prb as first time when admitted in 2008 for my dvt prb i have admitted in night as there was no dr after calling again and again dr came as he disided to admit me as there is no vescular surgen was there in hospital he kept me in 1 of the ward as total 1 day he had not given and medican nor treatment my leg blood circulation is totaly stop as the dr was aware of that but he had not refer me to jag rivan ram as there was the vescular syergen dr shaker as after spending hole day in pain 2nd day dr refer me to hospital as till that time my blood ven had been bloceked till my cheast as any how my dad took me to that hospital as they studid the case as quick action they have taken against my prb till after noon my mri my sonographi my blood test all was done and my treatment had started as quick action they have taken i was not seen ever and wad treated till 1 month in icu and i was well . [if incase i would die becz of block of my ven till heart who will be responsible for it ?] can any one give this answer no ? After wards when i discharge from the hospital dr kept me on medicine as after wards again i sifted to hell byculla hospital as days gone passed i got 1 more prb i got ulcear in my leg after informing to my dr gupta he said it will heal by medicine but 1 yr passed it is not healed 1 day i notice that my leg is smelling like a die rat as i inform to dr he sended me again in heaven jag jivan ram were i met with dr shekhar he have not given me any medicen only some important instruction proper instruction for dressing of ulcer and wearing stocking daily as per instruction i have done that my ulcer is heal in 1 month. [ if becz of ulcer my leg is cut who was the responcible for that ] after that again i have sifted to byculla offcuse the word hell were i met with the king of hell dr gupta as he was the person who told me there is no need for stocking What can be done against such dr like dr gupta if u want to know abt 1 and 1 words which had been told by dr gupta if u want to know abt this contact me 9773164210

This is regarding my visit to MGM Vashi hospital regarding pain in foot.

I visited the hospital and paid the said fees to consult Dr. Neeraj Srivastav. He took only 2 minute of consulting as he has to go and told me come after three days with X-ray. After three days when I went with X-ray, again he took only hardly 2 minutes to consult, for which I was told to pay fees again which I paid.

Other patient were consulted for more than half an hour. This provok me to write here.

Thus looking forward any kind response how handle these situation as I am really facing pain in foot no relief and was told to come every week.

Hi, My name is Amar Moghe and I want to register a complaint aginst A hospital name Lahoti Medicare Pvt. Ltd., Add:4/5 Old Palasia, Ravindra Nagar, Indore(MP)-452018, Tel:0731-4271600-2490577 Fax: 0731-23495370.

I had Admitted my Wife name Anushka Moghe for the Surgery of her Gal-blader Stone. I am having my Corporate Mediclaim Policy by y Employer Axis Bank Ltd,As it was a planned surgery so I applied for the Preapproval for the cash-less facility of my corporate mediclaim policy. initialy the claim amount of 30000/- was sanctioned by the insurance co.Later on after the completion of the full treatment the total bill was raised 50220/-. And the same bill was sent for the approval by Hospital to the Mediclaim Co.In reply the Mediclaim Company approved the Additional expenditure of 17180/- which was over and above the last approval of Rs.30000/-. So the total Approval the Hospital now had is (30000+17180)=47180/-(Fourty seven thousand one hundred & eighty rs only).So my diffrence amount which i need to pay shoud be (Total Bill Amount - Mediclaim Amount Approval) which is (50220-47180=3040/-)
but against the amount of 3040/- hospital Particularly mr. Tanmay(Mediclaim Officer, Lahoti Medicre Pvt. Ltd) Recovered 10480/- rs against 3040/- without giving any proper justification.And When I said If I pay the whole Amount in cash then Mr. Tanmay from Lahoti Medicare said "you need to pay only 50220/- if you pay cash but as your Mediclaim is their then we will charge you additional 7440/-.And Forcefuly they took the Excess amount of 7440/- from me even having the Approval from Mediclaim Co.later on I confirm the same thing with Mediclaim Company, They even said that you don't need to pay anything extra over and above the diffrence amount if any between your mediclaim Approval and your final bill.

So I request you to kindly take proper action agains the Hospital as they are only befooling the Public and taking extra money from public even in such a social and noble profession of healthcare industry.

I was completed six month work on one of the reputed pvt. hospital in Ernakulam, now I resigned from the hospital in the bond period, so I gave 10000 Rs for get back my educational certificate.But the main problem is they refuse to give experience certificate. Can I get the experiance certificate from the hospital. Please give reply as soon as possible. If not get this experience certificate, I will lost abroad Job. waiting for your good suggestion

3 days back i suffered from the 'Tonsilitis'. I have gone to this 'Gangothri Hospital' as an out patient.It is curable with a pain killer and tablets, The Doctor (Mr. SHANKAR- E.N.T. Specialist) forcibly convincing me to admit but i refused because its a small thing happen to me and my P.G. is hardly 100 mtrs from the hospital. He was not allowed any doctor or nurse for Treatment until and unless i got admit and pay the advance. I admitted cause i am new to this city i dont know the other hospitals nearby. After 2 days they discharged me with a bill of 5 thousand rupees. I have all the documents (doctors prescription,medical prescription,summary)
And now i want to file a case against that hospital and the doctor (Mr. SHANKAR- E.N.T. Specialist).
