In my name home loan a/c.no.lbbee00000350044 was in existance. In the month of may-2011 i have closed the same.
Bank has fabricated malafidy record regarding cheque dated 07th april] 2007 & charged rs.320/- as cheque bouncing charges on my account. I have paid the same and after scrutiny it has be proved that the cheque was presented and cleared on same date. So as to hide negligence from banks side the cheque was recorded as retured on first presentation and the same was recorded as cleared on 23rd of april, 2007 on second presentation.
As the cheque was presented and cleared on first presentation the bank was not in position to issue cheque return memo. I have demanded penal interest in addition to compensation of rs.2000/- for my mental/financial/physical harashment. Bank has now agreed to refund cheque bouncing charges after charging some amount. (rs.54 or 56 to be deducted from rs.320/- charged as cheque bouncing charges) but regarding penal interest (at the rate which bank charges to its customers) & compensation the matter is kept unsettled since last 04 months.
I request all home loan consumers to obtain full details of any charges levied on their accounts.
