Sub: Waiver of Pre Closure Charges
I had taken the above mentioned loan about 40 months back. Now with the soaring interest rates and my financial needs, I have decided to put up the property for sale. I need to close the loan and I have tried with several phone calls and visits to the bank to please waive off the Pre closure charges of Rs. 52,259/- (2.76%) on an outstanding of 18,93,441/-
I am using my own source of funds to repay the loan. We are not asking any other bank to take over the same.
We once again ask for the banks kind consideration. Your positive response will be very much appreciated by a future prospective customer. Also if anyone reading this can advice me as to how I could get the waiver, please help.

preclosure charges wrongly charged for prepayment of housing loan eventhough RBI has announced all banks to stop banks from charging same to customers on floating rate of interest loans. standard chartered bank has refused to acknowledge RBI guidelines and is flouting all rules and is willfully duping customers and forcing them to pay the preclosure charges
