Dear Sir/Madam

I am Manish Pandey. I had opened a Chit Fund of Rs. 100,000 at MNY CHITS PVT. LTD. I
got an account payee cheque by my name (Manish Pandey) from this organization of Rs.
76000 which was from SBI bank, G.T. Karnal Road Branch. I filled up a pay-in slip
with all the detials along with this I wrote my name, account number and mobile
number at the back of the cheque and the submitted that cheque on 12-01-2009 in my
ABN AMRO bank's ATM branch located at Janak Puri Distric Center, New Delhi-58. I
putted the cheque in the ATM's cheque drop box. After three days when i enquired my
account, the amout was not reflecting into my account. I contacted ABN AMRO several
times but they had no clue where my cheque was. So, I contacted MNY CHITS PVT. LTD.
They told me that my cheque of Rs. 76000 was already encashed by someone on
16-01-2009.

Then, i went to SBI bank to get info about who cleared the cheque, They pulled up
the clearings for 16-01-2009 and I was literally shocked on what I saw.

The cheque was encashed by SAHIL PURI who has an account with ICICI bank (check
attachement for account detials). He cancelled my name from the cheque and wrote his
name and copied the signature and stamp of the person who issued me the cheque. (MNY
CHITS PVT. LTD) When I asked about this to SBI, they said we can't help it. The
signature looks quite dissimiliar with the original and the cheque was tempered very
badly even though they (SBI) cleared the cheque.

My concern is, when I submitted the cheque in my Bank's ATM drop box (ABN AMRO), it
should be secure. So, how come a third person can get access into the drop box to
take the cheque and encash it. If it's not secure, which it isn't, I WANT MY MONEY
BACK.

Also, if the signatures are fake and the cheque is tempered so badly, SBI should not
have cleared the cheque. And if the signatures are original, MNY CHITS PVT. LTD
should return MY MONEY BACK.

Moreover, when I went to ICICI for help they refused for any help.

I have given an application to the SHO, janak puri but they are not ready to write
an F.I.R.

I have been to ABN AMRO and they said the are enquiring.


Please help me, as I am a student and this was a very hard earned money. I work at
night and study at home.. Everything has become a mess after this..
