Dear all,
I had availed ICICI Home Loan in sept.2005 (Home Loan Account No.LBFDB 11000053088) for Rs.15.52 L for a period of 20 years. The EMI was Rs.12,500/- per month earlier. Today the EMI is Rs.15,488/- per month and the tenure has been increased to 34 years in the name of floating interest rates! As per ICICI Bank's feedback, during this period I have to pay back more than Rs.72.0 L against the loan amount of Rs.15.52 L. It is ridiculas. I have already paid back by this time appr.Rs.10.0L. But the Certificate for Tax deduction benefit shows the principal amount has reduced only by few thousands. Is there any proper method of calculations of all these ? Does any body in the authorities/finance ministry checks how the banks are looting their clients? The middle class people keep on bearing more hardship and are deprieved of their hard earned money by these banks. Will somebody do something about this?
