I applied for a home loan with Kotak in 2007 for 40+ lakhs. After the verification process I was called to bank to sign up the documents and I was asked for a 25K processing and loan disbursement fee. I was told that I will have to pay only 3 odd thousand for the processing amount if the loan gets sanctioned and I do not take it. The final approval came for 35 laks. I could not afford the difference and asked for a refund. The executive told me since the approval is valid for 6 months, I can use the amount if I decide on another property. After few months when I asked for refund, nobody is listening to me. I am getting redirected from place to place. Over 100 calls and SMS and the bank is just deaf towards my complain. Please advise me.
