My Home Loan Number is : LBBNG00001337685
Number of Months : 240
Laon Amount : 19 lacs
Availed : July 2006 at a rate of 8% ( Special offer for Corporate Employees)

I have availed the loan of 19 lacs from ICICI home loan at 8% and started paying the installment from July 2006 onwards , But suddenly they have incresed the interest by 0.5 % from next month with out any notice , and gradually increse it now to 12% and they are not intimating to me.

Also they have increased the tenure from 240 months to 327 Months , if i call them they are not expalining properly , as per them we will have to pay the loan through out the life.

Also it is noticed that when ever the government increase the ROI , they increase on the same day/month, and if the govt decrease the ROI , they 2 to 3 months to reduce it.

Kindly help us , we are not clear what is happening.

As per the statement recieved by them , if i am paying 19500 as the EMI the principle amount is Rs 505 and the rest is the interest amount..

for 13.5% read 12%
interest rates got increased till13.5% and than got reduced to 12% gradually
where as interest rates charged to new customer is 8.25% and lesser by most of the other banks

My Father has a 2002 ICICI housing Loan # LBJOD00000350635. ICICI Bank is charging him 13.75% Rate which is way above than going market rates & nothing short of usury. They have been charging him this rate (or even higher) since May-2007.

As a matter of fact I applied for my own loan recently & they offered me the RoI of 9%. I don't understand what legal justification you can follow this practice of charging different interest rates to different customer who are otherwise identicle. That is selective discrimination & they can do the same to me as well in couple of months down the line. Please let me know what legal tool I have at my disposal to protect him right now & also to me in future.

Any help on this matter will be highly appreciated.

I am hving a home loan from ICICI Bank and my account no is LBBNG00000792104, when i hv taken the loan i was told that the interest rates would be increased and reduced as and when RBI increases and reduces the rates, but when RBI increased the rates ICICI increased the loan rates but when it reduced they hv not reduced it, how can they do like this and cheat customers.

I want my loan statement to be revised since the day RBI has reduced the interest.

I have availed the loan of Rs.2,36,000 from ICICI home loan at 7.5% and started paying the installment from April 2004 onwards , But they have incresed the interest by 0.5 % from February 2005 without any notice , and gradually increase it to 13.5% from july 2008 and they are not intimating to me.

Also they have increased the tenure from 240 months to 365 Months without any intimation.
And when iterest rates where gone down to 8% recently still they are charging me @13.5%

As per the statement recieved by them , if i am paying Rs.2536 as the EMI the principle amount is Rs 105 and the rest is the interest amount..

Kindly help us , we are not clear what is happening.

I see in this forum, many are facing same issue as me where ICICI increases the ROI and tenure for the home loan !
I am poor in financial terms and understanding it.

I took home loan in 2008 for 12% for the period of 120 months.Even though the ROI hasn't increased and it was only oscillating between 12 - 10 % till last month, but I saw the tenure has increased by
10 months (130 months) ? !!!
which i can't understand , to my knowledge if the ROI hasn't increased above 12 (in my case the 120 months repayment period calculated based on 12% ROI ) how the tenure has increased to 130 months .. !

This month (Mar'11) I see the ROI has increased 12.25 % and tenure to 133 months !!

If anyone in this forum is aware of this financial game that ICICI (or any bank ) is playing .. please enlighten me ...

Even I want know how these interest rates gets changed every now and then... I cant see these rates going down so often as compare to going up..

I think RBI should take control of all these activities and keep close watch on such banks.
