I have loan account with HDFC. Now HDFC tells me that their rules have changed and I can make part pre-payment only once in a Quarter (as against monthly previously) and also that the part pre-payment has to be at least twice the amount of my current EMI.
I told them that since this is not mentioned in my Original Loan Agreement, if the policy has changed then i need to know about it in writing.

Can HDFC change their policy without giving it in writing or officially informing the customers? Can they differ this policy as per every invididual? would be great if you could help.

I am trying to make a prepayment for my land loan partly. And the HDFC office from where i got the loan in my hometown says that i cannot make the prepayment more than once in a month. Where is this rule in your policies?
