Hi,

I have taken a housing loan from LIC HFCL for my property at Thane.

The loan was santioned for 55 lac during Dec 2008 and as the construction was not completed LIC gave the first disburement of Rs 4912000/- to builder during March 2009. I have paid my own contribution to builder ( the balance amount of the cost of the flat before disbursement of loan from LIC) and submitted my 3 No. of original receipts of the payments made to the builder. My Loan A/c No was 430702709 with LIC.

My EMI was not deducted through ECS (despite submitting the from twice) and the first EMI was deducted using my cheque submitted along with the documents. Till Aug 2009 they have not started my EMI and I paid 4 months EMI by cheque and again I submitted my ECS form. Subsequently the EMI started from Sep-09. All the while the EMI (Rs58245/-) was chagred for the full sanctioned amount of 55 lac alothough the loan was disbursed for Rs. 4912000/-. As the possession amount could not be arranged by LIC in time, I had paid the balance amount from my own source and restricted the laon amount to Rs.4912000/-.

During Oct / Nov 09, my baks reduced the rate of interest but LIC did not reduce my rate of interest. So I had persued with HDFC bank and got the laon sanctioned for Rs.4770000/- and HDCF disbursed Rs 45 lac in the name of LIC.

I cleared all the outstanding along with forclosure changes ( 2% of 4770000+ service tax) on 24th Dec2009. LIC has not deducted my EMI for Dec-09 till the day I forclosed my loan i.e on 24th Dec 09 but subsequently they have deducted from me on 28th Dec09 although I have forclosed my loan on 24th Dec 09 by paying all the dues. Also when they returned my original docs on 16th Jan 10, the 3 receipts (my own contribution paid to the builder) along with the LIC disbursement receipt and my possession receipt ( total 5 receipts) were missing.

Subsequently I am persuing with LIC vashi Br for getting the refund of excess EMI along with original receipts but nothing is happening from their side. I had written to officers of LIC to address my compliant but they even did not resond my mail.

I request your intervention in settling my case early pl.
