Hi,
I had approched for a home loan in May 2007. That time, they asked me to give a cheque for Rs.5000 to process. So, I have given the same.
I got the sanction letter from ICICI by May 25, 2007. When I approch this loan, they assured that will help me to identify a good property, but nothing happened. Since I couldn't find out a property, not in position to avail this loan at right time. Last week I sent an email to Customer care of ICICI to refund this amount, but they said its a non-refundable amount so they wont refund it.
Today I just checked the terms and condition attached to Sanction Letter,
"This sanction shall be available to the borrower/s for a validity period of six months provided the borrower/s deposits with ICICI Bank the administrative charges & other charges / Fees mentioned overleaf at the time of delivering the accepted copy of this letter to ICICI Bank."
As per the above condition,I need to pay that Rs 5000 when I provide this accepted copy of this letter to ICICI bank - right. But, they have charged me before that.
So, this is my concern. Please check and if my concern is valid let me know., and what can be done here.
FYI: I didnt send my accepted copy till now.
Thanks
