Miss used Auto Debit option to deduct unexpected addtional dues Dear Sir,
I am Satyanarayana.H, having Home loan with ICICI bank, with loan number: LBBNG00000364970, from 2002 onwards. I have been consistently paying my house loan EMI as per Auto Debit agreement. As per agreement the EMI will get deducted by 7th of every month. From past 6+ years I am paying without any issue. Suddenly this month they have deducted EMI amount Rs.10851/- on 03-09-2009. As usual I though EMI got debited early instead of 7th day. After 7th of this I have received a call from ICICI call center Chennai, stating that my September 2009 EMI is due, and the auto debit is bounced due to insufficient fund, and I have told that EMI got debited on 3rd of this month with transaction ID "SB5515665", and the informed we will check with Mumbai team and inform you back. But no phone/ no information. On 14th I got a letter Ref. 2008/09 SEP-1963, stating that you have overdue of Rs.14539/- and we have debited Rs.10851/- and adjusted to above loan due.
As per instructions they are not suppose to use my auto debit option to other loan recovery, they have to send clear notice with itemized statement regarding the due and how they arrived such amount. Instead they are sending direct information letter that we deducted and recovered by using my auto debit option, and more over they are saying September month EMI is and for that they have deducted Rs.55/- as penalty for bouncing charges on 08-09-2009 with transaction id "SB9989577". Apart from this they have tried multiple times to deduct money from my SB ac/ 005301022993 without my notice and once they cleared of my balance and debited Rs.544/- on 23-09-2009 with transaction ID "SB2006868". When I called ICICI call center and asked about this withdrawal they are saying we could have withdraw more amount but you had only this much balance.
I request you to please help me in this regard, bank staff is really doing this kind behavior with lot of customers and earning un authorized money. They have literally looting peoples blood.
Please get me justice and help in recovering my hard earned money.

Dear Sir,
To sort out such kinds of Banking complaints, you will have to send a written complaint to the Head Office of the concerned Bank and wait for the response for near 15 to 20 days. Keep a copy of that letter with you so that if the Bank fails to give you any solution, you can forward your complaint to the Banking Ombudsman. Send a written complaint to your bank and revert back soon after getting any response from there.Regards,
