Hi,
I bought an Impiana bed room set from BigBazar, highland park, Kolkata on
16th June, 2009. They delivered the goods on 19th June,2009 and the fitter
came to set up the furniture on 25th June. Then we found that some furniture
pieces are faulty and we lodged a complaint with the shop to replace the
defective furniture pieces. Till date, we have not received the
replacements. The Bigbazar shop people gave us a number of a person and
asked us to contact him regarding the replacement. We talked to the guy on
6th July, 2009 and that evening he confirmed that the replacement would be
delivered on Monday. On calling him on Monday, he excused that it was
raining there so they will deliver on Tuesday,7th July, 2009. Now, neither
they have delivered the furniture pieces not they are receiving our call!
And even both the phone numbers of BigBazar highland park are out of
service.
Unfortunately, due to my job, I am out of Kolkata for now and am not really
able to follow up with the BigBazar shop people by going to their shop.
I have even tried to reach them by their suppor email ID and number, but
nobody even cared to response.
My question is:-
1. Is it possible to lodge a complaint against this harassment by
Bigbazar from being outside of the city from where the goods were bought?
2. Can I lodge a complaint online ?
3. I bought stuffs worth 37000/-, and I have already taken a lot of pain
to follow up with them. Can I demand any compensation for this harassment?
