Poor Furniture quality by wood Art Gallery Gurgaon Dear Sir/Madam,
I've come across a quality problem of furniture bought from WoodArt Gallery, Gurgaon. The details could be found in a letter that I have sent to the owner of the showroom presented below:
I've got a phone call from the showroom's assistant today and he said that refund is not possible, only remaking. I don't wish to deal with WoodArt Gallery any more so I am insisting on refund plus compensation.Dated: 15-12-2009

SUB: NOTICE BEFORE FILING CONSUMER COMPLAINT
Dear Sir,
I gave an order of sofa cum bed cost of 17000 Rs. to your shop on November 13, 2009 and was promised to get it ready by December 01, 2009, but unfortunately it was not ready on time. In spite of making numerous calls to your showroom your executive Subhash was ready to deliver my order only on December 9, 2009, giving various excuses such as insufficiency of the cloth material I had chosen and bad weather conditions. After paying the balance I asked for the invoice for this product, but got a refusal.
I was given a 5 year warranty for the above mentioned sofa cum bed.
I ordered that sofa cum bed after seeing the sample in the showroom and asked to make a few changes in design. But when I was presented the sofa it occurred that it was totally different from the sample I had been shown earlier. The wood was different, sofa’s arms were smaller and narrower. The showroom assistant agreed with that, but asked for 10 more days to widen the arms by using adhesive, which I did not find suitable and decided to take it as it was. However after using the sofa cum bed for four days some more deficiencies showed up. It occurred that mattress was of worse quality compared to the sample, and became misshaped and uncomfortable to lie on just in four days.
Due to the above mentioned deficiencies I find it difficult to use the bed, as lying on it aggravates my low back pain. Moreover the sofa looks misshaped and unpresentable.
I called to the sec-14 showroom on December 12, 2009 and told about the problems I faced. The showroom assistant assured me that a carpenter would come in an hour to my place to see what could be done. However neither the carpenter showed up nor was I given any explanations on why my request was not fulfilled. I called the showroom again the next day, and two carpenters visited my place to examine the above mentioned sofa cum bed. After inspecting the bed they agreed that the quality of the mattress was poor, and assured me that I would get a phone call from the showroom the same evening. However I did not receive any phone calls from them.
Therefore I am totally dissatisfied with the service of your showroom and give you a time limit of 15 days to give me full refund of Rs 16500/- , as well as 15% interest as moral damage; else I will file a complaint with the Consumer Court as I am protected under the Consumer Protection Act of 1986.
I am also informing you that the consumer complaint will be at your cost and expenses, and I will seek compensation for the mental agony caused due to your deficiency in services.

What would you suggest I should do? The showroom's assistant refuses to provide owner's contact details, and they can neither be found on the Internet.
