Hi,
I have purchased LG refrigerator in 2008. I got the AMC renewed on 28th June 2010 for 2 years. It means my next AMC renewal is due on june 2012.
At the time of renewal, the company person gave me a receipt of renewal of AMC. The receipt got lost.
Since may 2011, there was a cooling problem in the refrigerator. The upper portion is getting proper cooling but lower part is not getting adequate cooling. I wrote a mail to LG in this respect on May 7th.
The engineer came and visited after lots of follow-up ( company claims that time taken to attend any complaint is 24hrs...........it is a BLUFF). A part was supposed to changed. The engineer refused to do so as I was not having the copy of AMC receipt. He said he has to take approvals from LG company to change the part. He asked me write an application saying that the receipt has been lost and please arrange for a duplicate copy. I gave it immediately. I was told by the engineer that it will take 3/4 or max 1 week to get the approval for changing of part. Then he made me to speak to service centre person ( Mr.Vikas - 9582999016). Even Mr.Vikas reteirated the fact that without the AMC receipt they cannot the change the part. I tried to convince him that the refrigerator is already under AMC, (even service centre records is showing that refrigerator is under AMC) and non-availability of AMC receipt should not be hindrance in changing the part. But he simply refused and he gave me the number of ASM of the territory - Mr. Anuj Singh - 9873339756. I tried to reach Mr. Anuj, but no body responded.
Again for past couple of days same problem has cropped up and my refrigerator is not working. I got a complaint registered @ Lg customer care centre vide complaint number - RNA111124053819 on 25th nov, till no body visited to check the problem. We called up service centre and had a word with vikas....... on 26th evening. He showed his helplessness in changing the part as we were not having the copy of the AMC receipt. We enquired with him about the status of the application (regarding dupicate copy of AMC receipt) that was taken in the month of MAY. He was blank and had no answer, he simply asked us to give another application.
First of all I wish to know is it the policy of company to not attend any complaint or change any part...........if AMC receipt is LOST. PLEASE CLARIFY.
If no, then is this the way LG company works. If any customer looses a receipt of AMC, will he be denied the basic services. Then what for the AMC charges are being taken by company.......simply to fill company's cash lockers. Pls get the part of my refrigerator replaced and also provide me the duplicate copy of AMC receipt. My form number is KC37245.
Else I would be forced to take action against company.
