I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator - Model 180 L Genius Premier on 07th December 2010 paying Rs. 10,400 through Credit Card from M/s Vasanth and Co, Little Mount, Saidapet. I requested to deliver the product the next day 08th Dec after 06.30PM. M/s Vasanth & Co. delivered at 10.15PM but it was not the Model which we purchased. It was 180L Genius Supreme which is Rs. 800 less than that. The next day when I called the manager to complain about this, he said it is the same model which I saw in the show room and there is no difference between the two. When I informed him about the differences I saw between the products in the whirlpool website, he asked me to take the product and he will return Rs.500 for that model. After I refused to take that option, he told that he will deliver the correct model on Saturday evening which he failed to do so. And also he did not have the courtesy to call me and inform the status. When I called him, he said that the product will be delivered on Sunday. He did not call me and there was no response for my call as well. So I went to the show room on Sunday and asked to deliver the product the same day or refund my money with the interest for Rs.10400 for the 6 days and also for utilizing my home as a godown for the other product which he delivered. But he was not responsive for my queries and did not take it seriously....

Is there any chance that we can file a case on this asking compensation for the time and energy which we spent and also on the irresponsible dealer M/s. Vasanth & Co.
