We have taken a 230Ltr SAMSUNG Refrigirator on 16/Apr/09 and the very next day we heard a noise from the fridge and sensed a burning smell from it. It stopped working, so we lodged a complaint in the customer care centre and they gave a reference number of 8410056865. The technician came the next day (20/Apr/09) and said that the compressor had a problem. He said he would come the next day to fix it with a new compressor but no body responded till now. I keep calling the Customer care, the call hardly gets connected as their lines are always busy and once i get connected they say they will fix it but it has been 3 days but we have no communication from their end. This is really irritating to buy a brand new fridge and keep it idle for a week bacuase its a faulty piece.

Its very true with the foriegn brands, who dump thier obsolute technologies in india, even one of my friend faced similiar situation for his brand new AC, which was faulty.
He logged a complaint on this forum for the same, the admin asked for the details to provide a legal solution, even after giving all the details there was no response.
My friend got frustrated, got hold of the local politicians, and got his AC replaced.
This is a lesson i learned, if nothing happens legally, save your hard earned investment by paying a some extra and get your rights illegally...............
