I bought a Swift vdi on 30th may 2011 from competent motors, lajpat nagar and after a run of about 1000 kms(after 1st service) the car was releasing large volume of black smoke(on high acceleration). I have been at the maruti suzuki's Service center(competent, mehrauli) for 7-8 times for the same reason, they have never been able to cure the issue in spite of the promise that the issue has been resolved. From mileage 1000km to 10000 km, i have been continuously after them for this(i have all the records). Last time they told me that the problem isn't there anymore. however i lately observed the issue again and it is releasing huge amount of black smoke. I have checked in other diesel swift's and swift dzire's, however i can see no issue there. At present my car's mileage is 14000km. The have been cleaning filters, they have replaced the turbo charger once, in this regard. Its a serious issue when so many repairs are required in a new car.
I have already had lots of talk in this regard with deepak saini, maruti engineer and Mr Sethi, GM at Competent workshop(Mehrauli). But i dont see an improvement in the case.i send a mail to maruti also, they replied that regional service manager will take the action however i didn't see any action taken. i again send a mail but there was no reply this time.
Its just been 7 months since i bought my car and its been a harassment for me since then. In the very start there was issue with my car's fuel filter assembly because of which it couldn't b started(fuel filter assembly was changed by rohan motors, mathura road in this regard). And then the black smoke problem.
A new car with such problem is unacceptable. I am a working guy and its not possible for me to go to the workshop every week and that too in vain. My last visit to the workshop regarding this was almost 2 months back. And now on observing i can see the problem is still very much there. I don't see any point in going to the workshop again. Its a shame that such problems are coming in a maruti car. I am fed up of all the hassles i have been facing since last 7 months. Kindly look into this serious issue.
