I am in an extremely tight corner. I bought an i10 Asta with Automatic Transmission from Devbhoomi Sales Roorkee ( Hyundai - Roorkee showroom). I was assured a mileage of <15 KM/L ( KPL). I bought it on Jan 5, 2009 and was enjoying driving the car till one day I realised the mileage was just around 5.5 KPL. I complained to Hyundai Roorkee and they rectified it to 15.5 KPL approx. After some days it went back again to 6+ KPL . They rectified it again. I warned them I will not comply for a repair the third time. Now it has again gone down to 6.25 KPL. I do not want this car anymore . It has just run around 2000 KM. I want that they should refund my entire amount, pay for all petrol losses and give a good compensation for all the heart aches. Now they are not even replying to my mails from Customer Care - Hundai. See my latest email exchanges with them below :
Further to my message below, the correction was done by Hyundai - Roorkee and the mileage was nearly 16 , maybe a week ago.
Let me now give you very recent data :
June 25, 2009 : Car ran 129.6 KM and 20.91 liters petrol was filled till OVERFLOW
June 26, 2009 ( today ) : Car ran 18.2 KM and 3.78 liters petrol was filled till OVERFLOW.
I have informed Anuj Garg and Nadeem of your Hyundai Roorkee over phone.
I am sure there is a design problem. I have been driving Wagon R and then Innova G3 and then Innova V right from 2003 till date. So you need not doubt my driving skills.
Neither you are replying to my mails. Please see my proposals 2a and 3a below again and reply to me ASAP.
By not replying officially, you are running away from the situation.
I will wait for further 24 hours for your reply and then start my action plan in the matter.
Best wishes,
Deepak Jariwala

I asked you twice to reply to me about your findings and there has been no reply from Ahmad.
Like I said my I10 Asta Auto is not used extensively since we have an Innova for long distances.
Let me give you some recent data :
1. June 14 : Car had run 236 KM from full tank. It took 37.33 liters of Power Petrol to fill it up to full tank again.
2. June 15 today : Car was run 106 KM ( Roorkee to Saharanpur and back) from above full tank. It took 14.79 liters of Power Petrol to fill up again to full tank.
I have just informed local Hyundai Showroom at Roorkee over phone of these findings yesterday and again today. Spoken to Anuj , the service manager. He has agreed to pick up my car tomorrow June 16th, 2009.
I cannot keep on wasting money on the fuel and my time on keeping tabs of the mileage.
I have a few proposals:
1a. Hyundai - Roorkee would once again do the settings and bring my mileage back to 15 or 16 KM/liter. This will be the last time I will send the car to the Showroom for a reset or whatever they do. If that does not work then you decide on which proposal 2a or 3a below is good for you and for me.
2a. Hyundai Company takes back this car and returns my money and the money wasted on fuel lost. If you return my money, I will not give out this information in the Automotive/ Automobile media and stay quiet about it. I can make a written agreement.
3a. Hyundai takes this car back to their Factory. Does the needful and send the re-done car to me. In the meanwhile, Hyundai will have to give me atleast a small car ( in good condition with decent mileage) for my use till my car is taken away.
I am willing to jump to proposal 2a or 3a immediately. You decide.
Please do not ignore my complaint and give me a reasonable , satisfactory response.
Best wishes,
