HDFC Irresponsible customer service

    Angry HDFC Irresponsible customer service

    Hi,

    I opened a tax saver FD in HDFC Bank on 3rd June 2010. I requested for the original receipt through phonebanking and they sent me the receipt. But it doesnt have any word saying that its a tax saver plan. So, I contacted the nearest branch and came to known that it was the duplicate receipt. They advised me to go to the FD holding branch and so i went to MGROAD Bangalore Branch on 11th Jan 2011. It all happened when i was trying to submit my investment proof to IT dept. The representative asked me to wait and so i was waiting there for 2 hours. But they are not at all giving my proof. I escalated the issue to the operations manager and she advised the representative to give it immediately. After half an hour, I came to know that they lost my original receipt. I got irritated and left the branch. So i am unable to submit the proof and so i have to pay the tax for the FD principal amount also. The purpose of the FD is not fulfilled.

    What a irresponsible customer service. Can anyone give me some contacts to escalate this issue to the higher officials. I am very much depressed with their service.
