My name is K.V. SATYANARAYAN, Retd. Mandal Development Officer, Andhra Pradesh Government, age 76 years.
I am an subscriber for the Sun Direct Net work for last three years. My yearly subscription is completed on 16.05.2011. I have enquired for the fees for one year on 16.05.2011 and 17.05.2011 two times each day. They informed me that the fees is Rs. 1310/- (12 months + 1 month free for annual subscription). I recharged with Rs. 1310/- on 17.05.2011 at AP Online, Gajularamaram Road, Jeedimetla at about 2.00 pm to 2.30 pm. After recharging I have in net about my personal details of the subscription, I found that it was recnewed for one month, i.e. 17.05.2011 to 16.06.2011. Immediately I contacted the Customer Care and informed the same requested them to change the subscription from monthly to yearly. The customer care executive named T. Ravi Kumar registered my complaint gave me the complaint number 1077808. At the same time I mailed the same contents to their customer contact profile by mail. I received a phone on 19.05.2011 from their billing department and informed me that it will be change to yearly subscription within 48 hours. I waited till 29.05.2011 and contacted the customer care centre the executive named Mrs. Nageswari attended my call and informed the same will be rectified within 24 hours. Again I posted the same content through mail to the customer care. On 30.05.2011 at bout 12.58 pm a call was received by me from phone number +914027951006 informed that it will be rectified within 48 hours. The person talked over telephone on that day talks very arrogantly with me.
Again I contacted on 31.05.2011 the executive atteded my call is Mr. K. Krishna and informed me same story and I insited him file another complaint regarding the status of my complaint. He registered my complaint and gave the complaint number 10139101. No action has been taken. I contacted again on 01.06.2011 Mrs. Deepthi attended my call repeated the same story of 24 hours. Again I contacted on 03.06.2011 Mrs. Bangaru attended my call repeats the same words. Again I contacted on 04.06.2011 Mr. K. Jagapathi Babu attended my call, says that we done a mistake and balance is not sufficient to renew for one year from 16.06.2011. So he asked me to recharge with Rs. 100/- so that he can renew for one year from 16.06.2011. When I told him that I will proceed legally in this issue then he says that he contacted with his superior and it will renewed for one year within 24 hours.
Still it is not renewed. Really I was very much fed with their services. Initially when I took the connection I paid for one year and they renewed for three months only. When I fought so many days then they renewed for further 9 months. Last I paid for one year (12 months + 1 month free as per advertisement and information), but they renewed for one year only. I have contacted for so many times and fed up with their response and kept cool.
I am not only person who suffered like this with this SUN Direct network, there are so many subscribers suffering like this.
My humble request for you is to provide guidelines for severe legal actions against the management. Please help in this regard and if possible please approach for legal actions against the SUN Direct Network. No subscriber will suffer in future with them. Why because I have the facility to contact over telephone or through mails. But there are so many people does not have this facility and they are helpless.
Please inform if any ambudsman or consumer redresseal cell to file this type complaints against such fraud practices done by the comapanies.
If they renew monthly the charge is Rs. 125/-, so for one it becomes Rs. 1500/-. If they renew for one year they will get only Rs. 1310/-. I think so that only they doing like this. The management is cheating the customers. I dont know whose problem is this wheather with management or employees.
So, I request you to do needful in this regard for which act of kindness I shall be thankful to you.
