Sir,
My mother-in-law is bed ridden and one of her main pastime is viewing TV. She is not comfortable with TV's remote control excepting the 'on-off' button. We periodically assist her with programmes of her interest and set the volume for that programme and move away to attend to our work. Thus she uses the remote control only to switch off the TV.
The problem now is even when the whole programme is telecast with a specific volume, when advertisemests are cast, the volume automatically goes several times up and the sound is jarring. I usually see my mother in law struggling with the remote to switch the TV off so that the sound does not irritate her.
Has anyone noticed this? Is it not possible to view a complete programme without a remote on hand to adjust the 'volume' or 'mute' button. Are we not entitled to a uniform volume of telecast? Can someone help?
Thanks,
Indu
