With just six races left in this year's Formula 1 season it's the time when teams decide their driver line-up for next year and signs indicate Narain Karthikeyan will renew his deal with Jordan.

"I want to continue with Jordan because the Midland (Jordan will be renamed Midland) car for next year looks great, but we will have to see how everything works out," Karthikeyan told here.

The 28-year-old driver had earlier refuted claims linking him to the rival A1 Grand Prix series as a driver for Team India saying that his "heart firmly lay in Formula 1".

Karthikeyan, however, refused to give specifics on his future in the sport.

"In due course of time something will materialise and then you will know," he said.

"Right now I'm just looking for the new car (the upgraded version) to come and we want to fight the other teams as well, not just Minardi," he added.

His manager Piers Hunnisett was also confident that Karthikeyan would be at the starting line of the next year's inaugural race.

"We're talking to Jordan and they would like him to stay very much, everybody in the team loves him and (Jordan's sporting director) Colin Kolles is a great supporter of Narain," Hunnisett said.

"Colin would love Narain to stay for another year, but it's still to early to say, maybe when we get back after this break things will start moving on but I'm confident that Narain will be in Formula 1 next year."
