An Indian under-16 football team will play a series of matches in Portugal gain exposure to European conditions, it was announced here Friday.

An 11-day coaching camp will be held in Goa from July 25 to select the team and prepare it for the trip, All India Football Federation (AIFF) vice-president Subrata Dutta said.

"It will be a good trip and the boys will get some good exposure by playing in Europe. The team is coached by Mridul Benerjee and will be selected from 25 probables," he added.

An under-23 team will subsequently go to play in Fiji, Datta said.
