English Premier League club Manchester United Wednesday announced the signing of South Korean player Ji-Sung Park for an undisclosed sum.

The club has reached an agreement with the midfielder on a four-year deal.

The 24-year-old Korean will join the club, subject to passing the fitness test later this week and obtaining a work permit, Manchester United's official website Manchester United Official Web Site reported.

The signing follows weeks of speculation linking the PSV Eindhoven player with the Red Devils.

Park was a major influence in his country's run to the semi-finals of the World Cup three years ago and the Dutch club's campaign to the champions league semi-finals last season.
