The Indian cricket board will next week discuss venues for a proposed four-nation, under-19 tournament to be played later this year.

"The Asian Cricket Council has asked us to hold this four-nation, under-19 tournament and we will discuss the proposal and venues in our next board meeting," Gautam Dasgupta, joint secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), said here Friday.

The BCCI board will meet in Thiruvananthapuram for two days from June 2.

"The tournament has been proposed as a build-up to next year's junior World Cup," Dasgupta said.

The junior World Cup is likely to be held either in Kuala Lumpur or Colombo.

"Most probably, we will have the tournament in November-December. Besides India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will feature in it," he added.
