One person was arrested late Saturday a day after two women television journalists were attacked in east Delhi in what police said was a likely case of road rage.

The journalists of Star News television channel, travelling in a Qualis van, were chased by two men in a Tata Indica car with a Haryana registration near the Nizamuddin crossing Friday night.

The men had broken the windowpanes of the van before the reporters managed to escape.

"We have arrested one Sunil alias Sonu and interrogations are on to nab the other culprit who has also been identified," said Madhup Tiwari, deputy commissioner of police east Delhi.

Earlier, a case had been registered against the men under molestation and abduction charges, but Tiwari said initial investigations suggested more a "case of road rage".
