    Hi,

    This is Rao from Bangalore.
    I had a problem with my Sony PSP.
    I registered a complaint with Service center on 18th June 2009.
    My Job number is 300607620

    After three days when I checked up, they mentioned that I will be getting a
    replacement within 10 Day.
    Till now I have not received the replacement. Every Saturday I go to their
    center and they promise
    me that I will get it in next three working days. I am not able to get in
    touch with any of their senior management.
    Nobody picks up the phone. Nobody takes the responsibility to address my
    issues.
    I will appreciate if you help in solving my problem.

    Default Sony Home theater not working even for 15 Minutures

    I am Vijaykumar, from India, (Chennai)

    I have purchsed Sony Home theater audio system and 40" V series LCD TV at Singapore when I was on my official trip.

    There is no issue in the TV, it working fine, where as the Home theater which I was told is a new model, it was not servered my even for 15 minutes. I have Indian warrenty card valid till 04-Feb-2011. Unfortunatly I have misplace the puchase bill. When I approached Sony service centre at Chennai - India, their response was very rude. They have checked the DVD Player and confirm that the mother board was not working and the same has to be replace with new one. They also confirmed that the model is very new and the bill details are not available (I have produced only the warrenty card alone) they are demanding Rupess 5000/- to fix the problem.

    I am very much dissappointed, having spent around 80000 Rupees for both the TV & Audio system, I could not use it. Looking for your help to resolve this.

    Your concern has been noted, Is your warranty card card stamped by the dealers with the date of purchase mentioned on it ? It become really difficult for us to entertain the warranty without invoice.We have still forwarded your complaint to our service support department.     Default Sony LCD....A Hell

    Hi,

    I brought this Bravia LCD 3 yrs back at 1,55000/- and now the panel has issues with white vetical lines allover the panel.

    They told me that i have to spend 25k to get this fix. But this is really cheating with consumers. They get these parts in a cheaper rate from China put SONY stamp on it and supply in market.

    This is really A HELL SITUATION to buy a sony product now and i will not recommend atleast to my friends for any SONY item now.

    What sort of nasty assurance from Sony Customer Care. "Be assured Sony always try to give the best services & support to their customers" , they take the customer for a ride when it comes for any after sales service.

    Here is my story and there is no ultimate response from Sony now. Mr. Subhashis is turning to be unheard and there is no escalation mechanism. I will for sure take this whatever heights I could and ensure everyone in India know about sony service pricing strategy and think twice before buying any Sony product. Here is my story.... and the email written to Mr. Shubhashis and waiting for reply after couple of reminders in the last 10 days...

    I am Prakash, Sony was one of my favorite brand until off late I realized it NOT worth it., wherever I see a sony hoarding or a Sony outlet, I feel it’s a 0% customer friendly brand. And in India you damage the brand name by providing the worst customer support..

    It took 6-7 times calling, of 5-10 minutes each to reach Mrs. Sharon Maria with regards to my issue. Since no one understood the problem. And Mrs. Sharon promised to call back and never did; finally I have to call here twice or thrice to reach her.

    Alright getting back to the problem:

    I bought a Sony micro-hi-fi system in Feb 2007 and it stopped playing the CD. The unit is very sparingly used by my parents. I gifted them a sony hi-fi because I thought its durable then any other brand, BUT any other brands are working fine which is much cheaper than sony.

    Now the cost of repair was quoted as Rs.4242, but orally at the service center it was mentioned as 4700 odd first.
    The cost of system is 6900, do you think any customer would like to spend 80% of money for repairing a unit after its depreciation? What is the justice given to the customers? After further talks I was given a quote of 3215.25 again that is 50% cost of the unit. I cannot afford more than Rs.500 for this unit.

    I had a doubt on the Madurai Service center about its quote, quality of service, trust and reliability , so thought would give it in Bangalore, but the review shows Bangalore service center’s are worst than Madurai.



    Please let me know what best you could do on my micro-hi-fi system, I cannot afford the price you have quoted.

    So feel free to suggest should I throw away the system since your repair cost is too much and unreasonable? Or should all the customers of sony be aware of your post sales service so that they take the call on taking up the risk of buying sony products?

    If you could NOT help me, please pass on the Sony India Head contact details, I will talk to him/her directly.

    I have purchased a Sony Home Theatre (Model: DAV-DZ390K-CE12; Serial: 6113904) on 25th Feb'2010 from Sony Center, Raipur and i will be using the same in Cuttack, Orissa

    Since my purchase of the product, construction activity is going on in the room it is meant to be installed. A few days back I had registered a installation request (5322418) and the only objective for this request was to know where the speakers are to be placed so that i could get concealed wiring done at a go, the concerned technician did come and he told me where to place the speakers.

    I got a call today (24th May' 2010) from the lady placed at Sony service Center in Cuttack and she was inquiring some details about the date of purchase and installation on which I informed her that the installation has not been done yet and that I had called the technician just to pinpoint the location of the speaker so that concealed wiring could be done accordingly and when I told this, her reply was "you wasted the time of my engineer just to know the location of the speaker?, the company policy is that if my engineer attends a call he will only give a demo or install the product, why did you unnecessarily waste his time" . These were her exact wordings!!

    I would like you to tell me that if your engineer does not tell me where the speakers are going to be placed then who will tell me? Am I figure it out on my own? And isin't the service center there to provide "service" to the "customer"?? Am I to wonder if you people are not busy enough to attend my request or feel guilty that i'm "wasting" your time??? Is that the way it is?

    I'm really disappointed, after being a loyal customer this is what the company gives back!! And this is the level of customer service provided!!

    If it is as per your "company policy" (which i must say is not at all customer centric) at the very least train your employees how to interact with the customers.

    And you can rest assured that this is the last of your product I will be purchasing and I will also educate my friends and family members about the friendliness of your employees!!!!

    Please do revert with the contact details of the concerned customer service manager (if you have one) or the Regional Manager for Orissa, I want to take this up with him.

    Default My complaint # 5956248 for Sony Bravia 26 inch LCD TV

    I had bought the Sony Bravia 26 inch LCD TV from Adishwar Electronics, Inner Ring Road, Bangalore, in July 2007 paying a premium price of Rs 38,000 ( costlier than even 32" TVs of many popular brands such as Philips ). I selected this TV because I was told that the picture quality and long term reliability of SONY is the best and it is a " life time " investment. When this TV was installed by the Sony service engineer he insisted for a voltage stabilizer and a spike buster. I had accordingly fixed both these items while installing the TV. To my horror just after three years I find a major defect i.e., 4 to 5 short vertical bars/pixel bars right in the center of the LCD screen.

    I filed a complaint ( complaint# 5956248 ) to Sony Service Center Bangalore and they promised to send a service engineer within 48 hours. The service engineer turned up on 14th Sept 2010 evening and again to my horror I found out that he was not a service engineer, but a technician who did not have any qualification nor he could communicate properly in any language. He also was quite ignorant about TV electronics. His level of education can easily be made out from his written entries in the service receipt. I do not think the technician was more than a primary school pass. He was not able to answer any of my questions nor he could give me any answer why the vertical lines have appeared on the TV. All that he said was he would open up the TV and look for any loose connection and if there were no loose connection he could not do anything. He opened up the 4 screws at the back of the TV that secures the circuit board/motherboard, just had a look and quickly assembled it back without understanding anything. Finally he said that nothing can be done and the LCD screen needs to be replaced. In fact after the technician reassembled the TV, a new problem has crept up, i.e., my screen goes blank (black ) for a few seconds very frequently while viewing a program.


    My dissatisfaction/grievances on poor quality of product and service of SONY are as follows :


    1) I feel disappointed that an unqualified technician was sent by SONY who did not know the job, charged me Rs 250 without doing anything and created a new problem of screen going blank frequently.
    2) If really the LCD screen needs replacement just within three years of purchase then what is the credibility of SONY of claiming life long reliability and life time investment. If I knew that after paying a hefty price of Rs 38000 for a 26 inch TV of Sony, I have to face this problem in just 3 years, I could have purchased a Philips TV of a bigger size at a cheaper cost ( Rs 32000 ) which would have been probably more reliable and given me better value for money.
    3) Going by Sony's name and promise of long term reliability, I have purchased a premium Hi-Fi music system MHC-GZR88D again paying a high price of Rs 24,500 and I am worried that this investment will also be a mistake going by poor quality of product and service that I have encountered.

    I purchased Sony Home Theater (DAV-DZ510) on 17-Aug-10 from SONY CENTER, Vashi (Invoice/Bill no – 2534/10-11/V) (Address: Plot no 23, Sector 19C, Palm Beach Road, Vashi, Navi-Mumbai – 400 705, Tel no. – 91-22-27891010/12/13 e-mail id – sonycentervashi@gmail.com)

    I might have given more than 25 calls and personally visited to Sony Center, Vashi to get the system installed. Even then, as of today it is not installed. It is nearly 2 months from the date of purchase.

    At this moment, I am very frustrated with your services and request you take your system back and return my Money.

    I bought above mentioned model of Bravia on 13th Oct. 2010 from your
    above shop. Invoice No. is 24274 818106 and product Serial No. is
    2346266.

    The shopekeeper charged amount for this LED TV from me is Rs.89900.00 but I came to know from customer care of Sony and through sony sight after a week that the MRP of this model is only Rs.83900.00 in this way the shopkeeper has charged more Rs. 6000 from me. I request you to take proper action as soon as possible and ensure the extra taken money i.e. 6 thousand return to me as per rule. I hope you will take strict action against the above shop owner.

    I am Rashamdeep Loona Resident of Bathinda (Punjab). i purchased a LCD 32" from your authorized dealer M/S Ravi Enterprises on 15 October 2010. i received a coupon No 174053 with the LCD, i send a msg of my coupon no on given number. On 24 feb 2011 i received a call and a mail from a Thot media Pvt Ltd , stating that my coupon Bearing No.174053 won a Third prize (cyber Shot 3D-TX-9) in Sony 3D offer. they told me to send some documents i.e (Copy of Pan card, Invoice copy, Original Coupon, add Proof) before 7th March 2011 on Thot Media Pvt Ltd, Plot No.513, Udyog Vihar, Phase-5, Gurgaon (haryana). I send all these documents to given address on the very same day (24 Feb 2011). after 2-3 days i confirmed it from thot media Numbers(from which i received a call) that whether they had received my documents, he said yes we have received and you will get your gift very soon. but after some days when no call receive from your side, i contact your dealer, he checked it from your employee Mr. Sidhu (Chandigarh) Mob.No.9888826726. he said that your name is not in the winners list please check it from customer care. after that i contact your customer care on 18001037799. First day your executive said that your coupon number won the gift but your name is not in the list so i send a mail to enter your name in the list. it will be entered with in 24 hours. Then i called after 2 days to check whether my name is entered on not . your executive said that your name has been entered and forwarded to marketing division for despatch the gift. i was also in touch of Mr. Sidhu regularly who sit in Chandigarh. he told me that in my updated list your name is not entered. then i again contact customer care. Then your executive told me that your name is not in list i am sending a mail to enter your name. After that several time i contact your customer care. On 30th March i contact Mr. Sidhu, He said that your gift has been Received and i will come to bathinda on 1st April you can collect the the same on 1st April. I met him on 1st April on M/S Ravi enterprises , he took a photograph of me handing over me my Gift (Empty Box of Camera), after that dealer said he has not received any Camera so they denied to give me a gift and told me to contact customer care. i contact your customer care in front of Mr. Sidhu, your executive said that they had not received your documents. So you are not eligible for the gift. Then i gave the Courier detail and P.O.D Slip received at Thot Media. After Checking he said that this courier was received on 25/2/11 and i will check it and you will get a call from our side within 48 hours. but no call received from your side. then i again contact your customer care after 3 days, but they said your case is under process we will call you after 1 day but their 1 day is not getting over. On 06/04/11 at 3.00Pm (approx) i again contact your executive (Mr. Akshey Jindal ) He said that you will get a call from Mr. Sumit (who is taking care of your case) before 4 PM. but i did not get the same. so 1 called again on 7 Pm. Your Executive (Ms Munmun) told me to call day after tomorrow. and today on 08/04/11 i again contact your customer care Mr.varun told me that no status was updated by senior you have to wait. Now i am tired of all this.

    So you are requested to look into the matter and solve this matter as soon as possible .

    I would like share with you the entire scenario of poor services which are given to the users by your team. I had given my Cell phone ( C510 ) IN SONY center now about 1 ½ month ago and till now I have not received back my phn nor any updation from their side.

    Today once again when I called your representative she replied harshly that I should have go for any local shop to have my phone rectified & told me not to call until they them self reach out to me.     SOny gives he most pathetic services in the country.There executives dont know how to talk to the customers event their high executives like Mrs. Tyagai in Deli, Mr. Sarabjit. Most pathetic product and even pathetic servies. It seems i have aid to keep my laptop in service station.
