    Default Bad experience with IFB Appliance Pune

    I want to share my bad experience with IFB appliances, Pune.

    I bought IFB microwave oven 25SC1 from IFB Branch Office at Pune,
    under ICICI scheme wherein I got Weston DVD player and Decibel Home
    Theater free as gift. This was bought on 27th Aug 2005.

    None of the officials sitting at the branch office (which they call as
    promotional office) was willing to explain about the free gift. Neither
    they had product specification nor any instruction manual for that
    product. Point to note here is that, customer are attracted by the free
    gift otherwise I would have tried some other microwave oven, why would I
    chose to buy a higher price product.

    On delivery of the product on 27th Sept, I received a DVD player
    model (DVD-2015) which is lower version that was displayed at branch
    (DVD-2510). On informing I got it replaced with the DVD-2510 on
    3rd Sept 2005.

    Now this time I got the piece which was kept for display and when I
    received, it was not box packed and was covered with dust and has used
    CD inside it. Then I found that some of the keys on remote was not
    working. Now this might be due to damaged DVD player itself or remote
    might be damaged. After tracking for almost more than a month. I haven't
    got any replacement yet.

    I call them almost every week and talked with either Sales Exec, I
    always got response that product is not in stock, it has been dispatched
    from their main office and they will be getting in a week time.

    I called acting branch manager (Mr Dutta) on 29th Sept and I was assured
    that I will atleast get replacement for remote control in 2 days time.
    After waiting for five business days, I talked with branch manager (Mr
    Siddhu) on 5th Oct, and he is also not sure when it will arrive their
    office, he again told that will take another ten days. No one ever
    called me to inform me about the status and the delay it will take to
    replace damaged product. I am really fed up of calling IFB branch and
    getting the status.

    Also, they assured me that I will be getting some starter kit with
    microwave. Which was not delivered to me for the same reason: "product
    is not in stock". And after asking I got the same response: "It has been
    dispatched but not yet reached". Now after one and a half month, I guess
    they must be using bullock carts for inter-office transportation of
    their products. In fact that would also have not taken more than 20 days

    One more instance of their bad service: Their engineers who come for
    installation and demo does not know the actual operations of the
    product. In my case it was microwave oven (25SC1). The engineer had to
    consult the instruction manual for demo. Disgusting service isn't it?

    Default IFB washing machine Diva

    I purchased IFB washing machine Diva in Nov, 2007. It makes lot of noise and starts moving while running. One month back the motor went out of order. My machine is within warranty period. For the last one month I am calling them almost everyday, no technician is coming to replace the motor.

    Default Pathetic Service of IFB Washing Machine

    HI All,
    I would like to highlight the pathetic service of IFB Washing Machine-Senorita. I bought a IFB washing machine almost a 11 months ago from Croma Malad. The machine developed a switch problem while pressing it. we had to push it very hard to start it, but atleast it started and we could wash our clothes.
    Finally we complainted to their service center, they send their eng in 2 days time, he examined the machine and said the entire panel had to be replaced and would come the next day with the panel. It is more than 15 days now this person has not turned up and neither the machine is working.
    I enquired with their call center who always says they will chekc the problem and revert...a revert which we never get. Finally get hold of KUKUM who said the panel is right in front of her and she is despatching the eng before 1pm the next day, which has never come. Again i reminded her she gave the same false promise.
    What is to be done now?
    Why should such companies who do not give service be allowed to sell their products in INdia?
    I took the product from Croma who at the time of buying said the services are fantasic...now i can see for myself.

    Default Service provided by IFB is worst never go for an IFB product

    I brought the IFB washing machine model no.AW60/8062 in Oct 2008 and the machine is under the warranty period .Now the machine is not working, I had registered the complain in the IFB service centre Pune on 15th may 2010 a guy came from the service centre and he told us that the gear box is not working and need to be replaced.
    First mistake made by this uneducated IFB technician is that they had registered the complain with incorrect an model number i.e., AW60/806 which does not exist and then they were searching the gear box with this incorrect model number and kept us informing for more than 20 days that gear box for this model number is out of stock. Been an IFB employee you should be aware of at least what are the models available and you are searching with an incorrect number which even does not exist??? This is pathetic.
    After that we had registered a new complain with the correct model number on 6/6/2010(complain number 4609235) and were informed that within 2 days gear box would be replaced. Today is 12/6/2010 we are still waiting for the service. Whenever we call the IFB service desk the response from there is we are coming tomorrow and the tomorrow never comes.
    The service provided by IFB is unethical worst than the government offices in INDIA.
    IFB is big brand and such kind of disreputable services does suite their image. I would never ever go for any IFB product do would definitely educate peopleabout such a worst service.

    Angry Worst Customer service- IFB Washing machine

    I purchased an IFB washing machine on 22/05/2008 from ernakulam, kerala and its warranty expired on 22/05/2010. and on 02/06/2010 my washing machine got complaint and now ist is not working. I called the customercare & they send a technician to our home & he just saw the machine & imagined & informed us its power is complaint and we need to replace it. And we need to give Rs.4000 for the same. My question is, is it the mother moard has burned to ashes, so that we need to give Rs.4000. It can be repaired..right?....more over its warranty expired only a week agao and for the same, i need to spend 1/3 of the amount of the machine's real cost. I called customer service center 3 times, but still no response....... Why IFB is out sourcing the cutomer care to third party....I believe our complainsts are not reaching them.....
    I want someone from the IFB service center to call me & get this issue sorted out. I am not gonna spend anything....
    My reference number for the cal made is : 4711881....
    I am facing this issue because i Trusted the Brand - IFB.

    Default IFB 6KG Senator Washing Machine

    To All my IFB Product consumers


    08 Months ago I've purchase my IFB washing machine from Model Town, Delhi. Just bez of brand name I've gone to IFB and rejecting other brands ( My biggest Mistake ), from End of July -10 onwards its started a problem. Like What ever water is filling inside the machine its come-out when it starts. First I thought It may be bex of some cleaning issue or extra water storage but not. I've read all the instructions from the manual and found its not the case and book the complain on 06-Aug-2010 with the IFB Customer care @ 011-3900-43221 & 1860 4255 678.

    Just booking the call at IFB, It've taken my 03 wks and finally I've booked the complain on the assurance that Engg. will visit you soon and they will take Max. 24 Hrs. to rectify the problem.

    After doing a daily followups with the IFB Customer care dept. On 12-Aug-2010 one so called IFB Engg. visited my Home and checked the washing Machine for 05~07 mins and told me there was a problem either in Motor or in "Card" which control the speed. I asked him how come bez you've just checked the machine approx. for 05 mins and concluded that this is the issue but the problem is whatever water is going in the machine that is coming out , you've not checked that. He have no answer for that and told me to come on the next day for part replacement bez this is happening due to faulty "Motor" or "Card" , if available in their store.

    But after that He start giving a excuses like , part is not available , Mam today there is rain and I wan't be able to come etc. One day he said I'm not getting a salary from IFB , I got the service charge only. After that no response from IFB Service station nether this Service Engg responded to my calls.

    From 14-Aug-10 onwards I'm regularly calling the IFB Customer Care but no use, these Customer care Executives are also not doing there job . They just pass the call to others Executive and I've to explain the entire problem from start to end ...... n so on. In Fact one Executive told me to do a followup my own at my local service station.
    Even they are making a Fun of us and putting the person on hold for 30mins ...... I've experience this also.

    One thing I want to say here , IFB have outsourced the servicing & repair activity to the small repairing shops in India whether its a Metro Cities or a small Towns but they are not maintaining the Quality standards.
    Their so called Service Engg. came and take out the original parts from the machine / equipment on pretext of faulty/ damage and sold in the market or to the other Customers. We as a layman don't understand this.

    Till today, 19-Aug-10 no one have attended my call and I am really frustrated on myself for selecting a wrong brand.
    If somebody from IFB read this article then Its my humble request to take a step for Quality Improvement and Improvement in your product.

    Just at the end of this I want to say ..... BEST OF LUCK IFB to survive in India.

    Default Bad Experiance with IFB washing mechine service - chennai

    I am writing from Chennai , I have a IFB top loading washing machine and not covered under warrenty ,

    I had contacted the customer care and registered a complain on August 3rd , customer code 2405011 , complain no – 4880463 , a technician from Sri KAILASLI ENTERPRISES , attended the machine and asked us to replace the capacitor , and took back the old part , he said company policy , if am covered under warranty , normally the old part is taken for inventory accounting , but when I have paid for it ( RS 1500 ) , why should be taken back.

    I had my own doubts then , when I saw the invoice , it looked as a fictitious one , please see attachment , as I have a scanned copy .

    After 3 days the machine started to leak , as we called the technical , he asked us to replace the pump hose , we paid for the hose and service charge , the machine worked for 2 days ,

    From that day we have been calling the technician and also the office every day , with not much success ,

    I have been speaking to Ramesh – 9789977118 / 9962204428 and Raghu 9840795514 .

    Again on 7 sep , I called your customer care to help me solve the problem , and requested for some higher official at IFB , after much persuasion they gave me a number of Ms. Priya , they said she is the manager ,

    she never picked the phone , I sent her a message , that evening some one from a entirely different agency call and lands up at our residence and says a new part has to be changed which will cost another 1500 RS ,

    I would request you to help me out , or provide me with some one responsible to take care of the customers need ,

    More than selling a product , after sales service is more important , Hope a firm like IFB will never fail to give its customers – the customer delight .
