we have an electricity connection in name of my Grand Father in my parental village.

As of now we don't have parents.Right now i live in Delhi.

We have sold our house 1.5 years back. Also my electricity wire is not connected to pole for last three years.

No one come there to check the existence of connection, but still we are getting bills.

My brother had given an application on 10-09-2008 for the disconnection of the electricity after clearing all the bills. but no action has been taken while we are still getting electricity bills.


in every electricity bill there is date of disconnection, now if we are not living there then how our connection is still valid?


Please help and guide me that what should I do in this regard?

I also tried to call SDO ,he told me that we can't close connection.We can only transfer connection.
