    Thumbs down Complaint against PVVNL, Ghaziabad for not installing 5 KW meter since 2 years

    Dear Madam/Sir,
    This is to bring to your kind notice that I have applied for domestic electricity load upgrade from 3 KW to 5KW on 29/Jun/2009 for connection number 6079/268506, but the meter is not yet upgraded to 5 KW till today Saturday, 20th August 2011, which is more than 2 years now.

    For load upgrade, I made the payment in cash Rs. 6500/- on 29/Jun/2009, receipt number for load upgrade is:113649.

    Also, when I approached the electricity authority office at Shipra sun city on 23rd/July/2011, they asked me to pay Rs. 14921/- as the average bill for 5 KW from 29/Jun/2009 uptill 23/July/2011. I made the payment the same day wide receipt number: 03811060.
    They also assured that the meter will be upgraded in a weeks time.
    Since then I am paying for 5 KW which is not installed yet, and surviving with 3 KW meter.

    I am failed to understand:-
    1) Why there is no 5 KW electricity meter available with electricity department since 2 years
    2) If the meters are not available, why the deposits are taken for load upgrade of Rs. 6500/-
    3) If 5 KW meter is not installed, Why 5 KW meter rent is being charged
    4) If 5 KW meter is not installed, Why 5 KW average bill of Rs. 14921/- was charged for 2 years

    I, Sanjeev K Arya, hereby, seek higher authority's intervention in this matter and request:
    1) That 5 KW meter is installed at my home at the earliest.
    2) That my electricity account is adjusted correctly with the payments made for 5 KW for past 2 years

    Hi Sanjeev,

    You know the basic problem with electricity department in Ghaziabad is every body is corrupt, moreover you are not certain that they will do the needful after their appetite is full. i have personally seen this at Shalimar Garden Ext2 Power House where people ask the line men to assist with meter installation and without any fear they ask for money and says don't everything will be done now go and take rest.

    Something must be done to cope with this corrupt people of MAYAWATI sarkar.

    I made an online payment using HDFC online banking, but the window shows that the transaction was unsuccessful (due to timeout i think). But the amount has been deducted. Could you please clarify the matter ? Do i have to make another payment, then what will happen to the already deducted money ?
