Hi,
I live on 2nd floor of my appartments with my family and have been paying my bills on time always. On 9th march, one of the electricity officer came for inspection and took the meter and sealed the same. We were asked to visit the Pushp Vihar office where the meter testing was to be done. They unsealed the meter in our presence and said that the meter was tampered and therefore got hanged at some point of time. A theft case was registered and we were informed that we will receive a letter from Andrew Ganj office for the further investigation. Durng the same we paid our bills as and when came.
We received a letter on 28th July, mentioning that we were suppose to visit the mentioned office for hearing on 5th April and no one came for the same. Also, a seperate letter will reach us with the bill amount calculated based on usage.
Issues:
1. We live on 2nd floor and the meter is installed at the back side of ground level which is not easily accessible due to construction done.
2. Everyone in my family is working and we don't have much electricity consumption.
3. We didnt received any letter for hearing otherwise would have presented our points.
4. The consumption at our end has increased due to Summers and guests at our place.
5. A seperate bill is sent of appx Rs. 37000 based on the last 2 month usage as per new meter reading, irrespective of climate change(summer)
6. We visited the Andrew Ganj Office and has been asked that nothing can be done besides paying the bill and accepting that some tampering was done.
