    Angry Regarding Excess bill

    Hi,

    I am a consumer with BSES Yamuna Power Limited vide CA No.123036110679 and CRN No. 1230091808. My electricity consumption bill comes around 800 to 1200 units. However this month I was surprised to find out that my Bill has come to the tune of 4042 Units. The charges shown in the current bill are way above my wildest imagination. I got shocked when I saw the bill i.e. for Rs. 18,405.00. Since the time the meter was installed we never got such big bill. Normally my electricity bill for two months has been less than Rs.5, 000/- during the peak of summers. All of a sudden my bill has started touching Rs.18, 405/- . Last bill, which I was paid for the month of Apr 2010 was for Rs. 4745/-. I strongly believe that either there is some mistake in billing or the meter is faulty. Please check and correct this. I am very much definite that my electric meter goes faulty.

    I am domestic consumer and my electric consumption is average. Therefore you are kindly requested to please correct/rectify the bill so that I can able to make the payment.

    Default Wrong Arrear amount displayed in the CESC Bill for last 4 months

    Dear Sirs,

    Good day to you.With utter frustration and disgust I am forced to write this mail to you all.In reference to the A/c: in name of Sri Sudhanshu Sekhar Guha Thakurta having Consumer No: 48173051001 , Meter No: 2606669-Csq.01-Rate‘G’(Domestic),past 4 months we are being constantly disturbed with wrong figures being displayed on the CESC bills.

    Last month also I wrote to Consumer Grievance Cell and was contacted and confirmed by department member and did send Zerox Copies of all the last 5 months bills along with application and we were being sent modified bill with modified amount(the wrong arrear amount was deducted).

    The Bill was paid at the 226 A & B APC Road.Kolkata-700 004,duely stamped and even rebate date was modified ,however this month again we find an arrear amount of 799 being brought forward and wrongly added to the current month.

    COULD YOU PLEASE LET US KNOW HOW LONG DOES THIS NONSENSE CARRIES ON?

    The contact number I received call from CESC was 03366340588,Kindly action on this ASAP or else I would be forced to put this in the CONSUMER FORUM and CONSUMER COURT for proper action.

    Lightbulb Once again exorbitantly high electricity bills from bses



    Hi,
    I am a consumer with BSES Yamuna Power Limited.I am a domestic consumer with average electricity consumption.Till may i got a bill of Rs 1460 with consumption of 520 units,and my next bill for July is for Rs 15730, which was shocking. Firstly they have kept my bill on hold and asked us to come, on seeing our face they have released the bill.
    I told them this is not correct bill as in peak summers also our electricity consumption does not exist more than Rs 3000. Last year they have given bill of Rs 5000 for 1498 units which we accepted as there was function at our place.
    This year in this month they are telling we have consumed 3300 units, which is not possible as all of us are working, nobody stays at home in weekdays, we are at home only on weekends. When we have asked them excuse they have given is last month reading given was wrong, so we had added that in this bill.
    I have serious doubts on authenticity of the way of working of BSES. Last year also they have issued wrong bills, and agian this year,there need to be a check kept on them. they can't keep on harassing common man like this.

    Please guide me how to take this forward as i can't afford to pay so much of bill, i am from a middel class family.

    Looking forward for guidance.
