Hi my name is Sonya residing in Mulund east.Last year MSEB people came and took away my meter when no one was at home.Later they said the meter was tampered and we were thiefs!!!..Then i come to know the head of department stays to the building opposite to mine and knows all details about us..for example information about all family members..how many cars i have and all..He does the same with my neighbour too but by neighbour was at home when they took away the meter,but had no clue what they were doing .Only thing was that the witness who was with the mseb guys was touching our meters..Next thing is that we get a bill of around 78000 rupees as our meter was found to be 40% slow.We try to complaint but instead this guy makes a police complaint and cops come knocking at our door saying you have not paid the compounding bill 16000rs which was not even sent to us.Mr.Chavanpatil the mseb head over here who did all this is a loner..stays alone when we meet him ..all he talks is that his brother is a mla and he knows all about us.Being a gov officer He was wearing a jeans and tshirt.He tries to show us that i have nicely trapped you and you cannot do anything.Naturally since we didnt bribe him and his associates but instead retaliated he was taking our case also we didnt have proof that our meter was not faulty.And who knows if we go to court this officer will show up someelse's meter or create fault in our own old meter which was replaced..We were so helpless and then paid all money..Now we have a bill amount of more than 7000rs every month!!! sometimes 9000!!! we have 2 ac's powersaving out of which the total consumption is 3hrs daily,one fridge,one washing machine,have 5tubelights and 5 cfl's which are power saving lastly we are four people..one geyser which is used only in winter for say 2 months(unbelievable thing is that 80% times we heat water on the gas stove and use it )..Also i checked my other building members bill one member has 4ac's,one grill oven which goes on for 3-4 hrs daily,washing machine and since their two flats are combined and 10 members including kids the bill comes to total 3000rs!!!One old lady who is our building member keeps her ac on for 15 hrs and her bill is 1500rs she uses geysers too every day..The new meter is making us suffer i dont know whom to complaint too because the head over here is the person who has troubled us.When i called at the consumer complaint toll free number at bhandup they give me different numbers ..no one helps!!.

Please help me..I am being harrassed
