I have been subscriber of Tata Indicom Broadband service. I have purchased a domain name "bosslies.com" from Tata Indicom. But as they have very limited hosting services I decided to move to another service provider.

Now for that I need to transfer the domain name also. So I requested for the Authorization Code from them for my own website. And everytime you mail them or log a complaint they just give you new complaint number and those will get close in 2 days without any progress.

I have already initiated a domain transfer request from other provider and now my work stopped as Tata Communications are not providing the Authorization code. Also every time you mail them with all the details regarding the authorization code they will reply with only one answer "why you want to transfer the domain name".

I have 3 complaint numbers with me and a long chain of mail as a proof to file a case against them.

Can anyone suggest me how can I file a case against them?

I am facing the very same issue. This company is worst then a lala - ke - dukan ... once you buy anything from here no matter how worse is the product ..u can forget ur money... they will take ur money inspite of u noot agreeing to it. Do not give advance or make payment using credit cards to this company.

The latest hurdle they have created for me is that Tata communications will not allowing me to transfer my own domain!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps it was my posting here that finally Tata agreed to give me the domain control. And guess what it did had the twist. Tata communication is a reseller of Net4 .. the other crook

My pass experience with Net4 has been that it sold me a reserved domain name and did not refund me my money till 6 months and after lot of email reminders!!

Now this : the domain that I got from Tata communication is actually with Net4!!! and I am told to go get what I need from Net4.

1st: It look it 3 days to get my login details to net4 account. Why? because they had some technical problem at their end and emails to me from their system was not working!!

2nd: Now that I finally got my login to Net4 account and I placed the request for auth code again. But got no confirmation email if some thing was being done (btw, now my domain expires in 1 day)

3rd: So I called Net4 and asked the status ... to my disbelief they ask if I have raised a trouble ticket for auth code. now why would i do that when there is a separate section to requesting auth code. but any ways i raised the trouble ticket. now the new game starts

4th: Net4 takes 48 hours to do a domain transfer. And they make me fear that I may loose the domain since it expires in one day. Btw, I have done domain transfers before and it took me 15-20 mins to do it. See the unprofessional lala company Net4

5th: And I need to speak to some manager and give them good reason as to why i want to transfer!!

tell u guys they just love to smell ur a$$

This has been 96 hours since I formally made a request to Net4 at it's admin section for auth code and about 22 days since I made the reques to Tata communications .. I still do not have the auth code. The so called manager in Net4 is not taking my phones.

It has been 2 days since my domain has expired. Thank god there is a grace period of 30 days.
I will keep the progress posted.

Mean while some done needs a better suggestion to register domain try website.in .. the domains here cost 10% less then Net4 + additional features.

And I am going to find how I can raise the issue with ICANN

I have been a partner with net4 since several years now and trying to get the auth codes for the many of my domains.

They never ever send you emails on your ID or even the registrant's ID, after 15 days of follow up, if they send you an auth code, it is wrong.. thus you are forced to renew with them.

On my partner panel, they tell me the price for .IN domain is Rs. 169/- but when I try to renew it, it costs me Rs. 649/-.

They are cheats and I have reported the same to ICANN

I dont know why people always go for brand names and think they will get better service from them. Believe me I have had my worst days being a Tata Indicom broadband subscriber.

GUYS, DON NOT GO WITH THEM IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Try to propagate the message on every social account which you have so that they don't get the single penny to earn.

I purchased domain (arekar.co.in) from TATA Brodband (Business) , due to very very very basic domain control panel i was not able to manage MX records and other records.

So i raised request to customer support, but instead to provide me transfer/authorization code the sent me following reply :

They are closing request without providing authorization code..now it big pain .for me ....I am still fighting with them for transfer code....

seriously guys you need to stop trusting big brands on services that they dont provide. Would you buy a fridge from aircel? Or a washing machine from Airtel? Same thing

The only reason you came here and made this post is becuz you had a problem and you did you research on how to compalain
if you had done your research earlier you could have gone to a good provider to buy domain names and you wouldnt have had a problem.

Try BigRock's services, their system is automated and you don't have to request or email anyone to get transfer codes. Its right in their domain control panel. What's more, you can even change your secret code yourself (in case you doubt someone got hold of the code)
