    I have had a problem with the yahoo web hosting service .
    Following are the series of events and dailogue between Yahoo and me :

    Yahoo – 14/09/09 – 5:27 pm .
    Following are the various mails i have sent to your yahoo concern in India . I was given the address from your Bangalore office - 080-30774444 . I am still waiting for any reply in writting or though a phone call . I don't think your Yahoo office in India is doing anything to help me out .
    Kindly get back to me ASAP or i will be forced to speak to my legal Advisers .

    Dear Immanuel ,
    I have been trying to contact yahoo for the past month at least as i hev been facing some problems with my yahoo web hosting account . I have spoken to someone at your bangalore number , but was told that line is busy and i should send you an email .
    I would appreciate it if you would call tommorow between 10 - 5 .
    I am also giving you an outline of my problem .
    I recieved an email - telling me that Geocities is going to close down , and i was requested to shift my account to web hosting .
    I logged into web hosting , and the main page opened . It showed me the business control panel , which didnt tell me anything about my site , until i really looked in all corners of the page . So i clicked on the already have a domain option and typed my domain name and clicked find . It then told me that my account was registered with yahooUS ... or something like that ... its been a long time since i did all this . So when it asked me to register with yahoo india , i thought since i couldnt see my existing site files maybe i had to transfer to in india and then go ahead . So i went ahead and made the payment . After which i realised that a mistake had been made . I tried calling Yahoo at that time . I even spoke to someone in bangalore , who gave me a MR. Habib's Number . When i tried calling that number , it always went onto an answering machine , and i could never get to talk to anyone regarding this . So i called up my bank and asked them to get a refund on the money that was paid to you , but they couldn't do that , instead i was able to block the card and stope any further payments to you .
    Also the domain for which i paid 2204.90 on 10/7/09 has till not been registered . I have now finally managed to access the web site . But am not able to upload site that i had created initially on geocities .
    Kindly Get back to me ASAP .

    When i did not get any response from them by mail , i registered this complaint on their sit . The following are the replys that i recieved :

    Dear Ligaya ,
    I was not concerned with my account . I dont want to renew it . All i
    want you to do is refund the 2204 rs wchich you charged me for domain
    transfer from US to India .
    As this did not happen for at least 30 days after the payment .

    I checked the billing history .
    It show there under service summary . that a payment was made to you
    under SMB India Web Hosting Redelegation for 2204.90 .
    A payment was made to :
    Yahoo! India on 10/7/09 of 2204.90 Rs/- From my credit card .

    I have checked my bank statement and that tells me that i have paid YAHOO! India , 2204.90 RS/- on 10/7/09 - Ref no. 38924 .
    Kindly find out and tell me WHO did I pay this money to . Since you are saying that you have not recieved this payment !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Trust me friend, big companies like yahoo and godaddy are just using their names and fames to sell their services. They have 0 customer support. I have heard many negative things about these companies.

    Look for an alternate. And take reviews of hosting companies from others before you host your website.
