    Default AIRTEL DIGITAL TV customer care

    Dear sir,

    Iam D.Arockiadass from pune,maharastra working as a vehicle testing engineer at TATA
    motors pune. I am having one AIRTEL DIGITAL TV connection in my brother name
    S.Saravanakumar in the customer ID 3000114846 from registered mobile no 9730624616.
    We have shifted our house inside the same area last week and i have contacted AIRTEL
    DIGITAL TV customer care on 12.08.09 for the reinstallation of the dish antenna they
    answered that there should be minimum of Rs.600/- for booking the service engg slot
    so i recharged my account and contacted customer care on 13.08.09 they alloted slot
    at 1.00 p.m on 14.08.09 through order no:4760957 and also deducted Rs.600/- from my
    account at the time of booking itself but no body came for installation work. Again
    i contacted customer care on 14.08.09 they answered that the engineer missed the
    slot and booked a service request ref no:934397 and alloted slot on 15.08.09
    11.00a.m, no body came for installation on that date
    also. Again i contacted customer care on 15.08.09 and they gave me one service
    request no ref no:938579 and alloted slot on 16.08.09 3.00p.m that day also nobody
    came. Again i contacted them on 16.08.09 they gave me one service request no:940956
    and again one service request no:943325 on 17.08.09. AIRTEL DIGITAL TV customer
    care is giving service request no and the next day i am recieving message from no
    247 that the service request resolved successfully, how is it possible without
    doing the work how the request is closing? How they are deducting amount from my
    account without doing the work? So far i have not recieved any calls from AIRTEL
    DIGITAL TV customer care each and every time i am only calling them i am wasting
    upto 15 min per call to talk with the executive. Every time somebody is speaking
    and asking for all the details and saying sorry for the inconvieniance but nothing
    has happened so far. What i have to do in this regards and what about my
    Rs.600/-. I am very much frustrated with this and i need one solution for this.

    I dont see a reason why digital TV is not providing any written bill to their customer.
    There sms create a lot of confusion and it never details the kind of package that one is using and per day cost of the same.

    I purchased Airtel Dth service package of 1750 Rs/- on 12 September and Installation
    was done on 17 september, But no channel is active till now, Even after multiple
    complains to customer care.

    I have logged 3 complains for the same and all are marked resolved without doing
    anything or without visiting by airtel service provider peoples.

    Kindly help me out to activate my service asap.

    I am getting message on every channel is :

    This program/channel is not subscribed to you. To view you need to add top up. Error
    code 04.

    hi i am pradeep virk . i got a airtel digital tv connection. my customer id is 3000801733. i had made complaint thrice from last week that my connection is not working . complaint no.s are 1077771,1071314,1081044. but no body from the service part has visited me yet. kindly follow up my complaint asap otherwise i dont have any choice to compaint at the upper end.

    Dear Gurmeet,
    This is my fourth e mail with regards to the mis selling of airtel IPTV
    connection and the false promise by the agent. Now it been two months and
    this issue is not yet sorted rather I have started receiving threatning
    calls from Airtel. I have also asked the tele callers to disconnevt my
    connection if they cant meet their commitment. but All this has been of no
    use. This is my final e mail to you, which I have CC to consumer court. I am
    also writing in paper to the consumer court. Hopefully this should be
    resolved this time. Below is the whole story about how this connection was
    mis sold and the problems I have faced.

    My name is Gaurang Saboo and I have two connections of Airtel one is
    landline and broadband (phone no. 47042525, address 1610, outram lines,
    Kingsway camp, delhi -110009) and another one is a newly introduced IPTV and
    broadband package(phone no 45065594, address E2, prasanna apartments, 5c,
    bhama shah marg , Delhi - 110009). This mail is regarding the IPTV package,
    phone no. 45065594.

    The reason why I am writing this mail is due to bad customer service
    experience and false promise made by the sales agent. I will try to cut the
    long story short but over the past month and half, all I have had is
    problems.

    One of your agent based on KG Marg, Delhi named Naveen Sharma signed me up
    for the IPTV package around 20th of june. He promised me the following:-

    1] IPTV installation charge is Rs. 2000.

    2] The package I took was for Rs. 999 but according to him I will receive
    the bill for only half of the amount + taxes.

    3] The installation was promised within couple of days and advised me to
    disconnect cable TV and the MTNL broadband.

    Now I own a call center and majority of my business is run over the internet
    and phone and my father is into share market and his business runs from
    home, as he needs TV for this.

    I filled up all the documents and gave the cheque to the agent i.e. Naveen
    Sharma. First of all two days later when I didn’t heard anything from
    Airtel, I called the agent and I was informed that there was a fire in the
    building and they have lost my form, so I have to fill up new form and issue
    a new cheque and the installation will take another couple of days. By this
    time I don’t have any internet access, or phone or TV at home.

    Naveen came after couple of days and advise me to cancel the previous cheque
    and give him Rs 2000 cash as the installation charges. Initially I had my
    doubts but he insisted on his Airtel ID badge and said that the cash payment
    would make the installation quicker.

    I give him cash and by the end of next week after hundreds of call I finally
    got airtel installed. And after couple of days, I lost the Internet, TV and
    phone again. I contacted Airtel customer service and I was told that I
    haven’t paid the Installation charge and my cheque bounced. Then I contacted
    Naveen who was out of town and he told me to contact his branch manager Mr.
    Chirag Kapoor.

    Chirag told me that the money is with naveen and he can’t help me out. This
    whole story took more than two weeks and for these two weeks I had no
    internet, no TV and no landline phone. After several phone calls and me, my
    mom and my brother visits to the K.G. Marg office Mr. Chirag Kapoor gave me
    Rs. 2000 from Naveen’s salary. Mr Chirag Kapoor (Branch Manager, phone no.
    9999022517) is the witness for this whole story.

    Now the reason why I am writing this mail is I have received My first Airtel
    Bill which is for Rs . 4200(approx.), It shows that I have paid Rs. 2000 and
    I am suppose to pay another Rs. 2200(approx.). I contacted the customer
    service and they told that I have to pay Rs. 999 for the package and Rs.
    1000 for the Installation. And the rest is tax etc.

    Now I am not ready to pay even a single penny more for the installation and
    also I don’t want to pay for the services I haven’t used for 15 days because
    it was not my fault. I have contacted Airtel customer service, Mr. Chirag
    Kapoor and Mr. Sanjeev Rath, but there is not a single person who knows to
    atleast revert back. I spoke to Mr . Rath today morning and he said he will
    contact me in an hour after sorting everything out but guess what I haven’t
    received any call from him rather now he is not picking up my phone.

    I hope you will give me a reply and a positive one.

    To get any solution for your complaint kindly send a complaint letter to the Head Office of the Co. Send it through registered post and keep a copy of that letter also. Hope you will get any positive response from there.

    Today On 02.10.09 Evening between 7.15 to 7.22 pm. I dial no.12150 from my mobile
    No.9998958594 for digital Tv inquiry. than after dial for 3 for Gujarati
    language. & your custome care officer rightly speking so Rudely & Ugly
    language with me.I totaly describe his behaviour.As Below.

     

    I iquiry him in  Gujarati " Airtel Digital Tv mare levu chhe to tenu
    installation charges su chhe.  & He Reply Me ," Bhadve, Madarchod
    Hindi me Bol. So I ask his name : " who r You ? than he reply  " Abe
    Bhanchoud, Teri Ma ko chhodu, teri ma ka Bosda, Hindi me bol , ya phone rakh. 

    This type of language he used. This is very bad for any type of
    "Service Oriented Bussiness " . This type of employee is working in
    your firm. This is to much shame on the bussiness. 

     

    Than I angain immediately dial 12150 & 3 for gujarati language.So Mr.
    Sachin was come from Mumbai. I told to him for that person's name .
    but he said I can't check .who was attending that call. So I asked to
    Mr. Sachin For his immediate Boss. So Mr Balaji was came & he also can't
    give his name. This is very very bad service.  

     

    In Starting this type of behavior is do. Than what about in future if I select to
    take Airtel Digital Tv connection.?  Who will be resposible for this type of
    behaviour. ??????????????  Pl.Provide me That peson's name & contect number
    with his address

    Hello,
    I am an Airtel customer since a long time – including broadband, mobile and digital TV. I have a concern with regard to digital TV service which I am encountering, and would like bring this to your attention Urgently.
    I have relocated to Bangalore a few weeks back from Hyderabad. As part of this relocation I brought my Airtel TV dish antenna, cable and setup box. I called to Customer Care unit on last Friday, 30/10 morning to submit a service request for installing my digital TV in my new premises. The customer service executive gave me a slot of Saturday, 31/10 at 10.00 am for this installation. However, nobody came or called me till 11.30am – and finally I had to call at 12150 again to know the status of my service. They did apologies for this and reschedule this at 4.00pm on the same day.
    Surprisingly nobody came as usual and no communication as before!! I called again at 4.40pm to know if they are going to send any technician or not. This time they said, YES, by 5.00pm some technician will visit and install it. At 5.40 I called again at the same number, and this time I asked to transfer the line to their Manager/Supervisor, after a long debate they did and some person name Srikant from Mumbai got the call and tried to convince me with another set of bogus promises. He was also tried to explain about SLA and ETA staff – he didn’t realize that it’s already been 48 hours – since I request.
    However, when I asked him to transfer to his supervisor, initially he was not willing to, later he transferred to another guy called Zuber (this is a false name which I figured out later – and he may be a junior guy of Srikant). This person again promised me with this installation by Sunday, 1/11 morning 10.00a.
    Finally I called the same 12150 at 2.10pm just to understand what the Hell they are doing with this – since there was no person came or called me like always!!!! This time a new guy Rohit who is again a supervisor, I guess – if he didn’t falsify his credentials like before. And unlikely earlier, same set of promises and same line of commitment! Now he said, he will going to install this by today, Sunday, 1/11 6.00pm – and if not by tomorrow evening – another 24 hours window!! Yesterday I wasted my whole Saturday only for this and I guess, today also the same will repeat – I doubt this time also nobody will address this issue. He also said, he is going to escalate to ‘Satish Kumar’ who is Bangalore Divisional In-Charge – I don’t know how far this is True!!!! Even I asked them, if this time also the request doesn’t addressed, what I am suppose to do – interestingly they are just silent with no answers – may be thinking the customer should call again to start with a-fresh!

    In total: This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable!!!

    I observed/understand while talking to different person in your customer support unit – the official SLA of this service is 24 hours but nobody address or care about this. In my case, it now becoming 96 hours since I first called and booked a schedule!!!! I am fail to understand, why these guys giving false commitment, if they can’t keep them!!!
    Top of that, they are not willing to transfer line to their supervisor, if require AND if you asked their name, they give FALSE name/credentials AND when I asked give me your direct number, so that in case nothing happen I can reach you – here too, they are not ready to give. Further when I asked to give me the name/phone number or email id of the departmental head of Bangalore region for digital TV service so that I can followup if you guys can’t – they are scared of disclose this and just keep on trying to give some false statement!!
    Every time I called, some different CSE picking up the line (I understand, this is natural) with a same set of question/answers – this become a frustration to the customer – since I had to explain the same story again and again and again. I have noted down all CSE names I spoke to, and when during a new call I asked them to transfer to those guy – just to avoid to repeat the same story, they are not ready to do that!!!!
    I honestly feel there is a huge gap in your processes and should spent a long time to educate these CSE properly to deal with customers, not giving false/bogus name/designation while talking and be honest and open to share their manager/supervisor details, if the situation demands – particularly when these guys are not able to do their JOB properly.
    In my final discussion with Rohit, I mentioned that if they don’t install this by today, 1st November 2009, I have to discontinue this Airtel TV service from next day onwards. I am quite positive that I may have to do this – since the service of this unit is just unbelievable pathetic!
    I would really appreciate your response on this ASAP.
