I am deeply disappointed by the services provided by Airtel Digital TV. I had bought the connection almost a month back. Five days back, my set up box could not receive signals and I called up customer care to lodge the complaint on the same saturday at 1 pm. The attendant said, the technician would come by 5.30 pm, but nobody turned up. Then again, I made another call and investigated, only to be told that the technician would come the next morning at 11 am, this again to no avail. Finally I called them again and they said, it would be resolved exactly in 4 hours, again to no avail.
Eventually the next day, I got an SMS, saying my complaint has been successfully resolved, when noone even came or called to sort out the issue. I again made them calls day after day including today and told them I needed to talk to their supervisor but they hung up the call in due time.
If my case is not resolved today or maximum tomorrow, I would return my set up box, and claim my refunds.

This in regards to the digital TV services which i had bought in July 2009.
On 22 May 2010 the setup box has been non functional.
Despite numerous complaints may be around 40 complaints few which lasted for 3 hrs, I have not been receiving any real solution from Airtel Digital TV service team.
The reason they tell is that they dont have set top boxes available so that they can replace it.
As a customer this is not my concern.
To add to the woes, money from my airtel account is getting deducted on daily basis. I have requested them to stop the but all in vain.
The customer care excutives are least bothered about the customer trouble and have no proper knowledge of how things work at theri end.
After 5-6 hours of every complaint i launch, i receive an SMS saying that my issue has been resolved. This false information is passed on to the service team as well and no further action is taken unless i launch anew complain for the same issue.
People sitting in the call center are incapable of any taking or escalating any matter.
The IT application they are using is a flawed one which tells the wrong information of the issue status.
My customer ID is 3001021733, and cant list down innumerable complaint IDs here as this text area would fall short!
PLEASE GO BACK TO YOYR LOCAL CABLE OPERATORS PEOPLE.
What is the meaning of service request ?? how it close without solving the problem ??

my dish tv is still not attended to .installation has not been done sofar

we have subscribed 2 ur airtel dish tv ,in the month of may 2010 ,sence there was some construction work going on we had 2 remove the dish... 4 almost 3 weeks we were not using the tv.. but 2day 30th june 2010 after we called the servicer 2 fix the dish , he says that there is a problem with the setup box...
please tell us what 2 do.. its just been 2 month scince we bought the dish... we need a replacement or we want our money back..

I am mentioning a simple procedure before knocking consumer forum, first register your complaint with the Customer Care and in case not get any response form their customer care then you can send a written notice to your area nodal officer via registered post/ Email, mention all the details in it and ask them to refund the amount + damages + 12% interest within the mentioned time in the notice, wait for their reply and revert us back.
Note: Always mention your contact details and the complaint nos. registered with the customer care.
