    I had purchased Airtel DTH connection on 19th Dec, 2011 with Customer ID 3009582459 as Airtel told me. As an existing airtel IPtv customer i had paid an amount of Rs 1199 from my Citibank Credit card on 19th December, 2011. The engineers came for installation on 21st December, 2011. After inspection the engineer told that the dish could not be installed so the engineer took the dish and set topbox back stating that the connection could not be installed.

    I sent an email to Airtel at digitalTV@airtel.in on 21st December, 2011 asking for the refund. I received an email from Subhash Prashad from Airtel Digital TV that my request has been forwarded to their finance department and that the amount would be credited to my account within 7 working days and that the complaint number for my request is 14791231. Even after 7 working days I did not receive the refund.

    On 3rd January, 2012 I again wrote an email to Airtel that I have need received my refund. On this Ashish Sharma from Airtel told me that the amount of Rs 1199 has not been deducted from my account. So again I sent them the statement of my credit card showing my payment as shown below.

    Also airtel generated a dummy ID 3000025688 for my complaint number 14791231 while my mobile number and address was registered at ID 3009582459. So everytime I called digital TV I was told to provide my correct customer ID. At 3009582459 there was no complaint mentioned so I was told that you have not put any complaint with airtel and when I mentioned the complaint number ID I was told that this is somebody else’s ID. So what should I do then?

    My call was transferred to the Escalation department of Airtel where I have talked to several people like Shashi Bhushan etc and everytime I was told that they have corrected their system and that I would get the refund in 72 working hours. Sometimes Airtel also told lies that the refund has been credited to my account which never happened. Sometimes I am told that the amount would be credited in 10 to 15 working days. Everytime I get a new reply from a new person.

    I have got frustrated explaining to Airtel the problem again and again. My every call to Airtel lasts for at least an hour. Till now I have received no resolution. And in every mail airtel has got a standard reply “Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience faced by you” – the problem is that they are not the consumer and I think they are paid just to harass the consumers.

    Default airtel cheat......

    i got a call from airtel as usually they make ,sometimes for caller tune any offer etc. on 05/07/2012 they made a call, i received the call ,and let them cry. as i cut the call, a message received on my fon that 30 rs has been cut out from ur balance.
    what u call this....cheat or whatever else. they even did not have easy options to connect customer care executive.

    Default Worst Service by Airtel DTH

    Dear Sir,

    With ref. to my customer id no. 3007432459, I was given this Airtel DTH connection one and half yrs ago along with my LCD purchase. Till then to now, I hve been facing one or the other problems either with Airtel's Inefficient Executives or of poor service.

    I wished to watch a On Demand Movie in Channel no. 156 on August 20th 2012 at 2.45 PM for Rs.50/- , and as required I sent a message "BOOK 15620 to 54325". The service was not activated. I called up the customer care after which I spoke a inefficient executive and he asked me to on hold to have on recheck, and even keeping it for 22 minutes on hold, he disconnected my call. I called up again, and a inefficient and under knowledged person by name Mr.Gurbeer picked my call and told me that I would not be able to watch to activate the channel immediately for which I have to Hwait for 3 hours.(Its a wrong Information as I have used this service before also, which was activated in a minute). I told him to recheck on this information, as even he was not even able to communicate properly. As experienced before, I told him not to keep on hold but he went on keep me on hold for 14 minutes and said his Manager will give me a call in next 5 minutes, which I never got any call from any one.

    I was already irritated by their service and sent an message again "BOOK 15620 to 54325" at 3.31 PM. Yet again the service was not activated. I got more pissed off and left the matter there itself.

    The worst part of it was that I received an message at 9.30 PM that "Your request has been accepted and enjoy the movie" with the booking id 798492. And a amount of Rs.100/- was deducted from my Airtel DTH account. I immediately called up the customer care, where none of the inefficient employees bothered to receive my call. and my service of DTH was disconnected due to negative balance.

    So, Kindly request your interference as I am horrified by their poorest terrible customer service and request you to get my Rs.100/- credit to my Airtel DTH account.
