    Angry Airtel Digital TV installation issues

    Hello, Acc Number : 3009602260Ammount paid : RS 2690/-I have ordered for an Airtel Digital DTH connection on 24th Dec. I had been promised that my installation will be done by 25th Dec 2011. But till date i have not even received a call from Airtel regarding the installation.I have kept calling the customer executive numbers, they just give me a response stating, the team will call back soon or they say that we will forward your call to senior executive and the call gets disconnected. But for the past 3 days i havent received a call from them. Airtel being a Brand should surely have some ethics to follow, when people from your side give commitment stating that they will complete the installation by so an so date, they should stick to it.RegardsKavita

    Angry Airtel gprs service billing issue

    My mobile number 9894023760 was alloted by Airtel way back when they instroduced Mobile services in Coimbatore somewhere in 2003.I had purchased a micromax phone with a feature of WLAN and hence i called customer care and requested to activate zero rental plan ( which means when ever we use internet then billing meter starts) and i was informed that it is Rs.0.30 per minute and accordingly AIRTEL had activated above RENTAL PLAN. ( please note that i already have Airtel Broadband service in my office and i also own 2 numbers of TATA donglers which is use in my office ). Since my phone had WLAN feature, i wanted to go for ZERO RENTAL PLAN so that if at all to use internet services when i am not in office. After activating ZERO RENTAL GPRS services, to check the service, i browsed two or three times and quit gprs by pressing RED BUTTON in the phone. Subsequently i received first month bill with whopping internet charges of Rs.1800/- plus phone call charges which was paid with out my knowledge. Subsequently when i came to know about this payment, i called customer care dept and enquired. i was informed that i have used so much of GPRS service and therefore only they have sent the bill. But except after checking of GPRS facility when activate, i have never used internet services in the phone. However in the subsequent months, i have recived much huge bills of GPRS charges, for which i feel i am cheated and on taking up the matter with AIRTEL for waiver of so called GPRS service which is not used by calling their custome care dept, by going to their AVINASHI ROAD BRANCH, Coimbatore and submitting written complaint and also sent mails to their nodal officer e mail id's, nothing happened and contrary they have disconnected my outgoing and incoming calls facility and i have received a call from AIRTEL office whether i would like to retain my mobile number. I COMPLETELY DEJECTED WITH AIRTEL and since i am a businessman, i have lost good amount of buisiness from my customers as my customers could not reach me on phone. AIRTEL has simply adjusted my security deposit of Rs.2000/- paid by me when i took phone connection and warns me to pay UNUSED GPRS services charges completely to restore phone connection. SINCE FROM THE TIME OF TAKING AIRTEL CONNECTION, I WOULD HAVE PAID good amount of Even assuming on average bill amount of Rs.1200/- per month, i would have paid an amount of Rs.126000/- plus. ( ofcourse i have used their service) But atleast they should consider genuiness of the customer and comeforward and help

    Well it seems Airtel Digital hasn't managed to put it's office in shape. I too have the same installation issue [Customer ID: 3009993333;Order No: 1390905]. Booked my digital box on airtel.in almost 2 weeks back. I too needed the installation to happen on the weekends and so had made a request for the installation be done on saturday. Till date no one from airtel has bothered to either call or install my set-top box. It's as if the airtel digital tv division is one big scam. As indicated by others in the forum, the call centre make you want to cancel all connections with airtel the brand [I have been a loyal airtel mobile user for a decade now].

    A week back, being completely fed-up with this whole mess, I mailed digitaltv@in.airtel.com asking for my transaction to be cancelled. Apart from auto response mails I have got no other response. I am at my wit's end it's worse when such a reputed and large brand undertakes activities that small time crooks indulge in. Truly disappointing.

    I Purchased Airtel HD DTH Service Vide Customer ID : 3010034374, Order ID : 1443325 on 26-Mar-2012. On 27-Mar-2012 I got an SMS from Aitrel stating that installation is scheduled at 12.00pm on 27-Mar-2012. Inspite of calling calling them almost 20 times since the last 3 days, it was not installed till today. The usual answer they reply is that we will get a call withn next 10 minutes from the installation technician. After waiting one hour, if we call them they again say the same thing. If we ask for their agent by the name or if we ask their name, they disconect. Since, the last 3 days I have talked to their agents - Balaram, Preethi, Rani, Sunitha, Hasan, Akash, Vinay (almost 10 others have not given their names) they always say that the problem will be resolved. If we call them after waiting for a reasonable time, some other agents will come online and they say the same thing.

    The Customer Care of Airtel is so pathetic that they don't reply to emails. I have given 2 emails to digitaltv@in.airtel.com since yesterday to cancel the order and refund my payment as I was not happy with their services and there was no reply.

    I was impressed by the pleasing words of their marketing people and purchased the connection. But, the response was so pathetic that I don't recommed Airtel to anyone. By seeing various complaints in this forum, I feel it's a general practice for Airtel that they are intersted only in selling and not in service.

    Angry Reinstallation of Airtel digital TV: ID 3001279924

    I requested Airtel for the reinstallation (request no. 17353170) of digtal tv (ID 3001279924) because of my rellocation to Chennai. For that i have recharged my account also. as soon as i recharged, Airtel deducted Rs. 10 as reactivation fees. And the time when i was not recharging account the airtel people spoiled my life completely by making calls every odd times, sending sms. Now I am waiting for the installation to be done. Yesterday and today two diffrent engineers visited my house but did nothing, they came with out the cable to be connected. I also recieved a call from Airtel for confirmation of Installation, that time also i told that the installation in not done, after that i recieved a sms that "the service request No. 17353170 regarding relocation request for airtel digital tv has been resolved". What does it mean? with out installation issue is resolved !

    My sister had a similar experience. TBH they don't seem to care about their customers at all. Hope you get it resolved soon.

    I requested a new Airtel Digital TV connection and I got the following mail to make the [COLOR=#009900 !important]payment online[/COLOR].
    ""Dear Sir ,

    However when I made the payment I got an error message at the airtel page. The amount was deducted from my bank account and at the customer care they said that the payment had been received. However they didn't give me any transaction ID and whenever I call the customer care they say I will get within the next 30 minutes etc etc. May times they disconnect the call miday . I want to know whether I'm getting the connection and if yes, when?
